Yet another WWE Superstar is taking on the challenge of a lifetime and it's not even in the ring. Alexa Bliss announced that she's going to be a mother in addition to a champion.

How to Watch

Watch Monday Night RAW every Monday evening at 8/7c on USA Network. Stream more exciting WWE series on Peacock.

It's been a wild week for the WWE women's division. From Asuka shockingly winning the RAW Women's title at Night of Champions to Rhea Ripley dismantling an overmatched Natalya in near-record-setting fashion the same night, it's been a landmark time for fans trying to keep up with the latest news in the pro wrestling world. So imagine the surprise the WWE Universe felt on Tuesday when the official WWE Twitter account interrupted its usual stream of videos, Superstar updates, and retweets to announce some blockbuster news: Alexa Bliss is pregnant!

Inquiring fans have wondered where Alexa's been for most of 2023 – her last match was at the Royal Rumble, where she failed to capture the RAW Women's Championship from then-champion Bianca Belair. The mystery is now solved, and USA Insider couldn't be happier for Little Miss Bliss.

Of course, Alexa Bliss took to social media to announce her pregnancy, including adorable photos alongside her husband, musician Ryan Cabrera. It looks like the couple is genuinely surprised by the news, and from the looks of the onesie, it seems that neither Alexa nor Ryan expected to go down this road together just yet! This will be the first child for the couple, who married in November 2020. Nevertheless, their happiness levels are clearly off the charts.

"The best moments in life are the completely unexpected," Alexa captioned. "Baby Cabrera arriving December 2023!!"

It's bittersweet news for the WWE Universe, as this means Alexa Bliss's extended absence from WWE storylines will continue through the rest of the year. So while her legions of fans will be unable to watch her perform every week on television anytime soon, Alexa has the very best reason for being out of action through 2023. Luckily for those already eagerly anticipating her return, the Superstar has already signaled that she too is excited for her comeback and heard from WWE that the door is wide open.

"[WWE] extended my contract, and so it's just basically come back when I'm ready," she told The Messenger. "Probably a month after the baby, I'll start probably getting back into the gym, and getting ready for to see what my in-ring return looks like."

WWE Superstars Have Had Baby Fever Lately

Alexa Bliss is the second WWE Superstar to announce a pregnancy in 2023, joining Carmella, who earlier this month revealed she and her husband, Corey Graves, are expecting their first child after multiple setbacks. With Carmella's baby anticipated to arrive in November and Alexa's baby scheduled to arrive in December, the WWE Universe has to only wait approximately 18 more years to find out if a pro wrestling future is in the cards for these lucky kids.

As far as Alexa's WWE future goes, fans can stay optimistic. Becky Lynch, who famously announced her pregnancy on RAW in 2020, proved that moms could compete at the highest level. The Man hasn't shied away from collecting more championships since she gave birth to her firstborn. So we fully expect Alexa (and Carmella, for that matter) to one day return to the ring stronger and better than ever. Based on the Superstar's recent comments, she expects that for herself too.

USA Insider joins the WWE Universe to congratulate the soon-to-be mom and dad sincerely. We'll keep you posted with any updates from the couple because we're sure Bliss will have the cutest baby bump of all time!

You can tune into Peacock to watch WWE's Money in the Bank on July 1. In the meantime, catch up on all things WWE Universe on Peacock.
