CM Punk & AJ Lee’s Dog Larry Dead: WWE Stars Pay Tribute to Late Pet
“We love you. Forever,” the wrestling champion wrote in an emotional post honoring his best friend.
Condolences are flooding in for CM Punk and his wife, AJ Lee, after they announced the heartbreaking loss of their dog, Larry.
Turning to Instagram, the WWE stars shared an emotional post honoring their four-legged friend, remembering him as a steadfast companion who was often waiting faithfully backstage at matches.
A series of photos showed Larry throughout the years, from cuddling up with the couple at home to traveling the country for the WWE.
CM Punk’s lengthy caption revealed a little bit about the incredible bond he had with his rescue pooch.
“The grief we carry is the price we pay for unconditional love,” he wrote on Dec. 2. “Our little Larry crossed the rainbow bridge, wrapped tightly in our arms. He was safe and happy. Surrounded by love. We rescued Larry from Paws Chicago in 2015, and he changed our lives. I could never in one million years find the words to properly express how much we loved him nor how much joy he brought.”
He added that Larry’s spirit lives on: “The house is quiet, but we still hear the jingle of his necklace and the tip-taps of his little feet on the hardwood floors. He will aways be near. We will always feel him. Our hearts are broken. Until we see you again, sweetest Bobo. We love you. Forever.”
The beloved rescue pup had his moment in the spotlight during the 2024 feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, earning his very own following among WWE fans—complete with a plushie made in his likeness. Adored for his sheer cuteness, Larry’s story also tugged on the heartstrings: He was returned to the no-kill Chicago shelter three times before finding his forever home.

Recalling the moment he met Larry, CM Punk told WWE in a 2024 interview, “I fell in love with him the first time I saw a picture of him because he looks exactly like the Wolf Man from the Universal Monster movies, so he’s named after the Wolf Man, Larry Talbot.”
Fellow wrestlers are rallying around the couple, sharing words of support on Instagram.
WWE Raw star Raquel Rodriguez wrote, “Sending y’all so much love. I’m sorry for your loss.”
Natty by Nature added, “What a special boy he was. He was so loved, and he gave so much love back.”
Other WWE SmackDown champions chimed in with condolences, including Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and Bayley. WWE’s Mia Yim wrote, “Your family gave him the best life possible, he will be your angel forever.”
Legendary Spanish announcer Marcelo Rodríguez echoed many sentiments when he said, “You were blessed to find him, but he was just as blessed to find the love, comfort, and safety you two gave him every day. Fly high, little fellow.”
