The WWE Universe is in mourning today as one of the shining future stars of the women's division passed along sad news. Jade Cargill said goodbye to her mother in a touching social media post following her death.
Jade Cargill Announces Her Mother's Death
Jade Cargill, the WWE Superstar many fans and experts point to as the future face of sports entertainment, announced on Instagram Tuesday that her mother died after a lengthy battle with cancer.
"Yesterday, my mother lost in the battle with cancer," Jade captioned the post. "I will never question what God has in store for us, I am thankful God gave us such an outstanding, loving mother… I'll see you later."
Jade also penned a heartfelt tribute to her mother, writing: "You put up a good fight, mom. But God has bigger plans for you. I'm so proud of you. Our last mother. I know grandma and great grandma were there waiting, elated to bring you in. It's never goodbye, it's see you later. YOU taught me that."
In recent weeks, the 31-year-old WWE Superstar has been reportedly training for her impending in-ring debut at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. There is no news on whether her mother's passing will affect her in-ring schedule; conventional wisdom suggests that the WWE Universe would rather Jade Cargill take all the time she needs during the bereavement period before she even thinks about making her debut.
Jade has closed comments on this particular social media post. But, had her comments been open, we're sure the WWE Universe and her WWE family would be flooding it with overwhelming support.
When Will Jade Cargill Debut With WWE?
The signing of Jade Cargill sent shockwaves throughout the sports world, and it occurred during a particularly frenzied WWE signing period. After dominating the fitness world, Jade easily made the transition to professional wrestling, collecting a prominent women's world championship and enjoying a lengthy undefeated streak in her pre-WWE days.

However, as of December 13, 2023, Jade's timetable for her in-ring debut is up in the air, a process made even more complicated by the sad news of her mother's death. The WWE Universe has long been speculating that a Royal Rumble debut would be more than appropriate for someone like Jade Cargill. Still, in the wake of this recent news, we wouldn't be surprised to see her debut pushed back until closer to WrestleMania – or beyond.
Regardless of her official debut date, the WWE women's locker room has a dwindling amount of time left before one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling sets her sights on the most prestigious championships on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. It's just a matter of time before Superstars like Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch see firsthand what Jade Cargill is about.
