The Season 1 cast of Peacock’s psychological thriller competition show “The Traitors” has one more challenge to complete: The reunion.

As announced last week, Andy Cohen will host a reunion special that will bring back key contestants from Season 1 to discuss — or fight — about how things are between them now that all the secrets are out and the backstabbing and lies are finished. And what’s a reunion without a little beef?

Ahead of the reunion special, Andy Cohen took to Twitter to ask for fan questions, but people seemed to be stuck on one thing: If there’s real beef between Kate Chastain ("Below Deck") and Arie Luyendyk Jr. ("The Bachelor").

Kate shadily responded with her own question, tweeting: “NotKate Chastain from Florida wants to know why Arie is doubling down in interviews calling Kate Chastain “a cancer in the group” she tweeted.

Many fans wanted to know what’s really going on. So here’s the backstory that we know so far.

On the show, Arie referred to Chastain as the “cancer” of the house, which was a remark she told "Page Six" really upset her when she watched the series because she really liked him and she was Team Arie. She also said she's looking forward to the reunion so people can apologize to her.

In an interview with "US Weekly," Arie stood by what he said by explaining it again. “She really kind of was, I feel like, sabotaging everything because she wanted to go home. She really, really wanted to go home, which was hilarious to watch back. But then I feel like when Kate realized, ‘Hey, I'm kind of toward the end of this thing,’ she shifted into a whole different mode and became a good player again,” Arie said. “So I think in that moment when I said that, she was kind of in full sabotage mode and wanted to go home [and then] she kind of turned the corner. I feel like we kind of repaired that in the house.”

It doesn’t seem like they did repair it. We can only hope they hash this out in the reunion special so we can find out their real feelings — and if Arie is really a Traitor when it comes to Kate.

People can catch up on “The Traitors” and catch up on similar shows like “Snake In The Grass” on Peacock right now.
