The season is flying by, which means SummerSlam 2023 is approaching rapidly. As the WWE Universe gets closer and closer to the Biggest Party of the Summer, they've been rewarded with a few confirmed matches guaranteed to take place on August 5 in Detroit, Michigan.

There's been plenty of buzz among fans recently regarding what matches will be announced for SummerSlam this year. It wasn't until the events of the July 17 episode of Monday Night RAW, the lineup finally came into focus. Here's everything we know about the official 2023 SummerSlam match listing and which of your favorite WWE Superstars are slated to appear at the event!

What Matches Will Take Place at SummerSlam 2023?

Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso

The WWE Universe had been waiting with bated breath for Roman Reigns' answer to Jey Uso's challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, and now, their match is official. As we all know, The Bloodline is fractured beyond repair due to the last few months' events. The next logical step in recent memory's most fascinating pro wrestling story is a showdown at SummerSlam between Roman and Jey! Officially announced that the two men will compete in "Tribal Combat," it looks like the most dominant title reign in modern-day WWE history may be in danger of ending!

Ricochet vs. Logan Paul

It's official: Ricochet and Logan Paul are set for a collision course on August 5. However, we don't know if we'll fully appreciate a Ricochet/Paul match without fearing for the safety of the two men. Based on their interactions with each other since their dangerous mishap at Money in the Bank, the WWE Universe fully expects the two competitors to put on a jaw-dropping display of athleticism. Logan Paul has long needed someone to shut him up, and Ricochet is the perfect man for the job.

Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair

The WWE Women's Championship has been the source of controversy in recent weeks, as champion Asuka has been fending off challengers from all sides. Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair have recently set their sights on Asuka's title. Charlotte, who has made a career out of living at the top of the WWE food chain, has been eyeing a title she believes should always belong to her. Bianca Belair is looking for revenge after Asuka ended her year-long reign as champion earlier this year. With two hungry challengers wanting nothing more than to become champion again, Asuka faces her most uncompromising title defense yet at SummerSlam!

Gunther vs. Drew McIntyre

After making his triumphant return to WWE at Money in the Bank, Drew McIntyre has had one goal: To win the Intercontinental Championship. That's a task easier said than done, as Gunther seemingly has the title permanently glued around his waist for the past year. The WWE Universe is waiting with bated breath to see how much bad blood has built up since WrestleMania when the two participated in a legendarily hard-hitting Triple Threat match along with Sheamus. Gunther and McIntyre will beat each other senseless at SummerSlam if their WrestleMania battle is any indication, which means the WWE Universe is in for a spectacle on August 5.

Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar

On the July 17 episode of RAW, Brock Lesnar finally confirmed the worst-kept secret in pro wrestling: SummerSlam will be the home of the final match in the Brock vs. Cody trilogy. For months, the two Superstars have been at odds, and their match series is deadlocked at one win apiece. Their bout at SummerSlam will be brutal, intense, and unforgettable! What started as Lesnar blindsiding Rhodes at the RAW After WrestleMania has become an increasingly-intense personal rivalry between two of WWE's biggest stars.

One has to think that the winner of this match will be the de facto number-one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. We'll be rooting for Cody to pull off the upset, but we all know never to bet against Brock, especially considering what he's shown he's capable of doing at SummerSlam!

Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor

While many fans figured the Seth/Finn feud would end with their thrilling encounter at Money in the Bank 2023, Finn Balor himself clearly thinks otherwise!

After shockingly laying down the challenge for a rematch during a Rollins backstage interview, Balor finds himself, once again, just a three count away from becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. However, things aren't exactly sunny in The Judgment Day camp. With Damian Priest looming as Mr. Money in the Bank, who knows when he'll decide to cash in his contract. The time could come as soon as August 5. In a sense, Rollins will be fighting a battle against two fronts. Unfortunately, both fronts are fueled by Judgment Day.

Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler

In a match that we never thought we'd see, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler – you may know them as the former women's tag team champions – will meet one-on-one at SummerSlam. The best friends-turned-enemies have an extensive history as MMA fighters and WWE Superstars, but their bond had never been broken until recently. Like many in the WWE Universe, Shayna is sick and tired of Ronda's general holier-than-thou attitude towards pro wrestling, and at SummerSlam, she intends to shut her up.

For the next few weeks, our eyes will be glued to WWE television – the heat will continue to be turned up as SummerSlam quickly approaches. We can't wait to see what matches will be announced next!

You can tune in to Peacock to watch WWE's SummerSlam on August 5. In the meantime, catch up on all things WWE Universe on Peacock as well.
