Dating in the 2020s can be dismal. Creating dating app profiles and swiping through endless potential suitors wears on even the most romantic souls. Who amongst us hasn't wished we could date like we did in decades past?
Of course, by that, most people mean the blind dates and social encounters of the '90s and early 2000s. But what about trying to date like they did way back when — and we mean really way back when. Like, the early 1800s, aka the Regency era. After all, Jane Austen novels and "Bridgerton" make dating rituals back then seem positively swoon-worthy!
That's the premise of USA Network's "The Courtship," which follows Ms. Nicole Rémy as she tries to pick her ideal man from a crop of suitors while they live like it's the Regency era: The activities are all based on actual period-appropriate ones, everyone is dressed in frilly gowns and suits while they observe customs of the era, and it all takes place at a gorgeous estate.
Sound good? Well, you can currently watch "The Courtship" on Wednesdays at 11 p.m. ET on USA Network.

Alternatively, you can enter your cable provider information and you can watch every episode of Regency-era activities and shocking dance floor eliminations for free.
As if that weren't easy enough, Peacock users can watch the day after each episode airs along with people who want to purchase episodes on VOD.
