Here’s how to watch WWE SummerSlam 2025

How to Watch

Watch WWE Friday Night SmackDown Fridays at 8/7c on USA Network.

For fans in the United States, the only way to catch SummerSlam 2025 is by logging on to Peacock!

For years, Peacock has been the viewing destination for all WWE Premium Live Events, and SummerSlam is no exception.

And, of course, after SummerSlam ends, the event will be available to stream on-demand on Peacock for the foreseeable future.

When is SummerSlam 2025?

The Biggest Party of the Summer begins at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3 — exclusively on Peacock.

As usual, there will be a full slate of pre-show entertainment scheduled immediately before SummerSlam begins — so log on to Peacock as early as you can. You won’t want to miss any last-minute news or match announcements that occur during the Kickoff Show.

Is SummerSlam 2025 two nights?

Yes! For the first time, the 2025 edition of SummerSlam will span two unforgettable nights, making it the biggest SummerSlam in wrestling history.

The very first SummerSlam took place in 1988, and this year’s spectacle will show just how far the iconic event has come over the past 35-plus years.

SummerSlam 1988 was headlined by an all-star tag team main event that saw Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage collide with Andre the Giant & “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase

In 2025, the drama currently permeating across all of WWE has gotten too big to fit into just one night of action, so steps were taken to ensure that the WWE Universe is treated to the biggest SummerSlam of all time. Honestly, it couldn’t have happened at a better time.

Where is WWE SummerSlam 2025 taking place?

SummerSlam 2025 emanates from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. With the famous New York City skyline in the distance, MetLife Stadium has been the home of countless WWE Premium Live Events like WrestleMania 29 and WrestleMania 35.

Longtime fans will remember the epic main event from WrestleMania 35, which saw Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Ronda Rousey collide in a Triple Threat Match:

Over 82,000 screaming fans filled MetLife Stadium the last time WWE came to East Rutherford — and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if even more of the WWE Universe witnessed the first-ever two-night SummerSlam in 2025.

Is WrestleMania or SummerSlam bigger?

While nothing can compare to the WWE’s annual WrestleMania event in terms of sheer importance to the company and its millions of fans, SummerSlam has quickly earned the nickname of “The WrestleMania of the Summer” in recent years, and for good reason — there are always so many WrestleMania-worthy matches lining the card from top to bottom!

In 2025, SummerSlam is essentially on par with WrestleMania in terms of grandeur, star power, and entertainment value.

The WWE Universe should expect everything from shocking title changes, unforgettable in-ring moments, and twists and turns in many of the current storylines that play out across Raw and SmackDown every week.

This year, the event is headlined by four colossal world title matches. On the men’s side, CM Punk is challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship, and John Cena is defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes in a WrestleMania rematch. And on the women’s side of things, Tiffany Stratton defends against Queen of the Ring Jade Cargill in a bout for the WWE Women’s Title, while Naomi puts her Women’s World Title on the line in a Triple Threat match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.

In other words, it doesn’t get any bigger than this.

You can tune in to Peacock to watch SummerSlam 2025 on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3. In the meantime, catch up on all things WWE Universe on Peacock.
