A Look at Braun Strowman's WWE Career Ahead of His USA Network Hosting Debut
Meet the host of USA Network's most innovative new food series, WWE Superstar Braun Strowman.
Braun Strowman is a 385-pound, six-foot-eight monster of a man. He's a former WWE Universal Champion and tag team champion. He's been known to flip giant television production trucks on their sides in fits of rage. He's one of the biggest, strongest, and most dominant WWE Superstars ever — and most of the time, he is not in a good mood.
Oh, and Braun Strowman is also the host of USA Network's upcoming original food series, Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman.
The new show will follow the former larger-than-life WWE Superstar as he travels across the United States and attempts to eat, well, everything on the menu at each restaurant, diner, and dive bar he stops at. It's a formidable challenge — but Strowman is up for it, with cameras filming every bite.
The series will premiere on USA Network — home of WWE's SmackDown on Friday nights — as part of the upcoming 2025/2026 television season. Still, until then, it's time for food lovers to get acquainted with the man who will be attempting some of the most daring food challenges ever broadcast.
Here's everything foodies should know about the physically imposing Braun Strowman, who competed in WWE for a decade until May 2025.
When did Braun Strowman debut in WWE?
The now-41-year-old Strowman debuted in WWE on August 24, 2015, interfering in a match on behalf of the Wyatt Family.
The late Bray Wyatt, who tragically died exactly eight years after Strowman's debut on August 24, 2023, introduced the newest member of his "family" in a haunting backstage segment that many longtime WWE fans will never forget:
Immediately upon his debut, Strowman catapulted to the upper tier of Superstars. Before long, championships were in his future. In addition to being a one-time Universal Champion, he also won the Intercontinental Championship, is a former tag team champion, and was the 2018 Men's Money in the Bank winner.
Let's put it this way: Strowman is the real-life equivalent of creating your own WWE Superstar in WWE 2K25 and putting all of his size and strength attributes to the max — and during his ten-year WWE career, put those attributes to great use.
What is Braun Strowman's most memorable WWE moment?
Endless instances of wild backstage carnage aside, many members of the WWE Universe point to his WWE Universal Championship victory over the since-retired WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg as the high point of Strowman's in-ring career.
The match in question took place at WrestleMania 36, and is highlighted by something no other Superstar has ever done in a match: Survive four vicious Spears from Goldberg himself in one match:
Ultimately, Strowman emerged victorious, winning the WWE Universal Title for the first time in his career. By defeating Goldberg, he also became one of the rare WWE Superstars to ever pin the legend's shoulders down to the mat for the three count.
What is Braun Strowman most known for in WWE?
Above all of his many in-ring accomplishments, Strowman is known as one of the strongest — if not the strongest — WWE Superstars ever. He puts his gigantic frame to good use at every opportunity, whether it's backstage or competing in the ring. He earned his nickname "The Monster Among Men" for good reason — Strowman is strong in an utterly terrifying, almost unbelievable way.
There have been so many examples of Strowman's otherworldly strength that in September 2019, WWE put together a YouTube compilation video of his most outrageous feats of strength that runs over 11 minutes long:
It didn't matter what was in Strowman's way — even if it was a fellow WWE Superstar — Strowman was the epitome of a living, breathing hurricane, and no person, place, or thing was safe around him!
Did Braun Strowman really win the tag team championships with a kid as his partner?
Unbelievably, yes — Strowman really did capture WWE's World Tag Team Championships with a young fan as his partner. It all happened at WrestleMania 34.
Finding himself shockingly without a partner minutes before his scheduled match against the tag champions was set to occur, Strowman did what any gentle giant would do — he scoured the WWE Universe for a hasty replacement.
And guess what? He found just that in 10-year-old Nicholas, whom he plucked out of the crowd of thousands:
As it turned out, Nicholas was the kind of tag team partner Strowman had been hoping for — the unlikely duo won the tag team titles that night and etched their names in the history books, officially going by the name of "Braun Strowman & Nicholas."
It was a genuine WrestleMania moment for the ages — albeit one of the most unbelievable.
Unfortunately, due to real-life responsibilities like "attending elementary school" and "not being a trained WWE Superstar," Strowman and young Nicholas relinquished their championships the very next night on Monday Night Raw.
When does Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman premiere?
In his latest career shift, Strowman is ready to rumble once again — although this time around, he'll be focused on being The Monster Among Meals instead of The Monster Among Men. Fans who have followed the big man's WWE career can't wait to see how he fares in this latest "meaty" role!
Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman is currently slated to premiere during the 2025/2026 television season and is part of Versant's cable strategy moving forward.
"Our audiences are among the most devoted in the industry, and their passion fuels everything we do," said Val Boreland, President of Entertainment for Versant.
