If you're sorely missing Suits, then USA Network has a brand-new legal drama to scratch that courtroom itch — The Rainmaker (new episodes of which premiere every Friday). Based on the novel of the same name by John Grisham, the show revolves around Rudy Baylor (Milo Callaghan; Rivals), a pure-hearted attorney who gives up a good-paying job at a major law firm to fight for the little guy.
"When we meet him, for sure, he's a boy, who has had to step up far too soon into a man's world," Callaghan explains in the behind-the-scenes video above.
Oh, and did we mention Rudy works out a defunct Taco Hut?

Yeah, Rudy's employer, Jocelyn "Bruiser" Stone (Lana Parrilla; The Lincoln Lawyer) runs a pretty ramshackle outfit that also counts paralegal Deck Shifflet (P.J. Byrne; The Boys) among its staff. While Stone and Shifflet start off as opportunistic, rule-bending ambulance chasers looking to make as much money as they can, Rudy "reminds us why we got into the law in the first place," Byrne says.
"We are not the most reputable firm and we're really all he is," adds Parrilla. "That's what I think makes it a great dynamic between the three of us. We each have our own gifts, but you bring them together and we become a very powerful team."
Things really heat up when Rudy takes on a case that directly conflicts with his also-lawyer girlfriend Sarah Plankmore (Madison Iseman), who reports to the ruthlessly cutthroat Leo F. Drummond (John Slattery; Mad Men). "The show is a David and Goliath story," notes Slattery.
Does Mr. Baylor have what it takes to bring in the big bucks and be considered a rainmaker? We'll just have to wait and find out!
Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them trilogy), Wade Briggs (His Dark Materials), Robyn Cara (Ackley Bridge), and Karen Bryson (The Split) round out the main cast.

New episodes of The Rainmaker premiere on USA Network every Friday evening at 10/9c before making their way to Peacock one week after they air.
Developed for the small screen by Jason Richman and showrunner Michael Seitzman, the show marks the second adaptation of Grisham's novel after the 1997 film directed by Francis Ford Coppola that starred Matt Damon, Danny DeVito, and Claire Danes.
