Suits found a dedicated fan base when it first aired — but now that all episodes are streaming exclusively on Peacock, it has made the legal drama even more popular. The USA Network original series, which originally ran for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019, stars Patrick J. Adams as Mike Ross, a man who convinced a New York City law firm to give him a job despite him being a college dropout who never passed the LSAT.

Adams was nominated for a SAG Award for his role on the series and famously left before season 8 in 2018. Since making that decision, many may be wondering what has Patrick J. Adams been up to since Suits?

Patrick J. Adams' Personal Life Since Leaving Suits

As far as his personal life, in December 2016, Adams wed Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario. She was his date when attending co-star Meghan Markle's high-profile wedding. The couple share two daughters who they raise in their lovely Los Angeles home, which was recently featured in a profile in Architectural Digest’s Open Door YouTube series. The star remains active on social media, often sharing images of his wife and their travels. When we say "images" it's a bit of an understatement. Adams is an avid photographer and has been since he was a child. He kept up the hobby during his time on Suits and often snapped behind-the-scenes photos of his co-stars.

He even puts some of his more artistic work up for sale and is a sleeper hit among the Toronto art scene.

He's still got that classic Mike Ross sense of humor, too. Shortly after Suits began to pop once again on streaming, he changed his bio on Instagram to be a hilarious wink at his fame from the show as well as the popularity of his former co-star (and current Duchess of Sussex), Markle.

"the guy from that show you're watching on that app because that girl married that prince," his current bio reads.

He’s been staying busy since he left the show. After Adams left Suits, he snagged roles in films like 2017’s Room for Rent, 2018’s Clara and more. In 2020, he was cast in the Disney+ series The Right Stuff. The show is about astronauts.

He played the 20th-century real-life astronaut and Senator John Glenn. In an interview with ET Online, he explained, his personal obsession with the subject of space.

"My fascination with the space program and these guys and this world began with this story and how Tom Wolfe told it," he said. "To be able to, at this stage in my life and career, be asked to come in and be a part of reintroducing it to a new generation, to a new group of people who may have forgotten who these people were or never have known in the first place. It's a huge honor and a great responsibility."

Sadly, the show was canceled after one season and ultimately removed from the streaming service. He also worked on two more series that were canceled after one season despite audiences enjoying them, Plan B and A League of Their Own

In 2020, he also starred in a romantic drama musical. He played Simon in The Swearing Jar, which tells the story of a music teacher, Carrey (Adelaide Clemens), and her husband, Simon, and how they all fall apart for a seemingly innocent birthday present. Adams also worked with narration in the animated miniseries Pandemica, which was inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic. For those who love the live stage, Adams also appeared in the 2022 Tony Award-winning revival of Broadway’s Take Me Out

He ventured into the podcast world with a project called America 2.0, where he still voice acts and plays Seth McGuire, a first-term congressman. Adams also took another podcast project, working on Ad Lucem, a socio-political thriller. Most recently, the actor starred in Jeffrey Darling’s feature film about a serial killer, He Went That Way.
