It can be hard finding love when you are in the public eye, and Peacock’s newest dating show “Queens Court” will help three Queens find their Kings. Reality stars Evelyn Lozada, Tamar Braxton, and Nivea are all on a quest to find true love after many failed relationships.

The show, which premieres in March, is hosted by actress Holly Robinson Peete and her husband, retired NFL quarterback Rodney Peete. Holly told Black Enterprise’s “Inside the Studio” that they thought they would be perfect to host the show since they had been together for a long time and had the advice to share with the women.

“Rodney and I get in there and we give advice, and we do a little couples’ counseling even though we are not certified counselors,” she said. “But we talk to them because we care. We were very invested in these women finding love.”

Here’s everything we know about the Peetes.

Holly Robinson Peete

Actress Holly Robinson Peete is the daughter of Matthew Robinson, who portrayed Gordon on “Sesame Street.” She has been in shows such as “21 Jump Street" and “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper — and she even sings the theme songs for both shows. She can be seen in several Hallmark films and co-hosted “The Talk” for one season. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022.

Rodney Peete

Rodney is a former football player who was a sixth-round draft pick in 1989. He played on six NFL teams over the course of his career, and started in more than half of his teams’ games during seven of his 15 seasons. He was 37 years old when he was named the starting quarterback for the Carolina Panthers in 2003, but was replaced in the first half of the game. He retired in 2004.

Since then, he has co-hosted “The Best Damn Sports Show Period.” He’s also hosted a variety of sports shows for various networks.

The Peetes

The couple has been married for almost 28 years, but has been together for 29 years. They tied the knot on June 10, 1995.

A friend introduced Holly to Rodney, but she was not impressed according to "The New York Times." The second time they met was at a party at his house, which was crawling with groupies, so Holly left. A short time later, Rodney showed up at her door and they ended up going on their first date. They’ve been together ever since.

They have four children together, twins Ryan and Rodney Jr., as well as Robinson and Roman. When their son, Rodney Peete Jr., was diagnosed with autism, the couple used their HollyRod Foundation, which they’d formed in 1997 to focus on Parkinson’s disease, to raise awareness about it.

What’s the secret to their marriage? The couple went into couples counseling before tying the knot. According to "Essence Magazine," one of the secrets to a happy marriage is, they say, to have a few techniques in your back pocket for stopping marital dispute.

“I came up with the 20-second hug. No matter how mad you are, if one asks for the hug, it’s mandatory. It’s embracing and emotional. That runs through you while you’re not saying anything. You slow down. You become less angry. It reminds you of why you’re together,” Rodney explained.

We certainly can’t wait to see what advice they give the Queens as they look for long-lasting love.

“Queens Court” premieres on Thursday, March 16 on Peacock.
