Becky Lynch Threatens To Cash In on Seth Rollins if She Wins Money in the Bank 2023

Being two of the most high profile Superstars in professional wrestling means doing the media rounds before the biggest events on the WWE calendar, So, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch appeared on TODAY to hype up Money in the Bank.

Make no mistake, July 1 will be a busy day for both Superstars. With Seth set to defend his newly-won World Heavyweight Title against Finn Balor and Becky slated to be part of the women's Money in the Bank ladder match, conventional wisdom says both athletes should take it easy and rest. But when TODAY calls, you have to answer! On the June 27 edition of NBC's acclaimed morning show, Seth and Becky sat down and joined the fun. 

While Seth Rollins was a poster boy for being calm, cool, and collected ("I feel good, man," he told Al Roker), it was clear that Becky Lynch would be the main topic of conversation. The TODAY hosts wasted no time cutting to the chase, asking how important it was for Becky to win Money in the Bank. After all, it's an accolade that has escaped her for her entire WWE career. The Man has won countless championships but has never officially been crowned Ms. Money in the Bank.

"I want it, I want it so bad," Becky replied. "You have so much power with it. You have so much power, because you can get a title opportunity at any time, any moment. It's essentially a chance to get a title match at any moment. For example, Seth could be down and out, and I could cash in on him – if I want – and then be the next champion."

Eagle-eyed viewers noticed Seth instinctively held the World Heavyweight Championship closer to his chest as he gave his real-life wife some serious side-eye. Luckily, Becky was only speaking in hypotheticals.  

"I'm not saying I would do that, but I am The Man!"

Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if Becky won the briefcase on July 1 and eventually cashed in on her husband? We're no marriage experts, but that would be cause for divorce, right?

Of course, you can't invite new parents to TODAY without asking about their adorable children. Seth and Becky were asked what would happen if their daughter, Roux, wanted to eventually follow in her parent's footsteps.

"I think she's got some pretty great trainers," Becky deadpanned before Seth mentioned that he runs a pro wrestling school in his hometown in Iowa. The couple clarified that if wrestling is in their daughter's future, they will support her in her endeavors.

We must admit, Seth and Becky have this parenting thing down pat!

While their daughter travels with mom and dad to most WWE events, it was revealed Roux wouldn't make the trip across the pond in London for a week's worth of UK-based shows. Based on the reaction of the TODAY hosts when they saw pictures of her, it looks like Roux has plenty of willing babysitters to choose from! 

Money in the Bank is shaping up to be quite an event, to say the least. While all eyes are on the participants in the men's and women's ladder matches, the 2023 edition of Money in the Bank is also slated to present some WrestleMania-worthy matches that don't involve competitors climbing ladders and yanking down briefcases! All the top Superstars on RAW and SmackDown are slated to appear with the curious exception of Brock Lesnar. Will the Beast Incarnate make his presence known during Cody Rhodes' clash with Dominik Mysterio? Only time will tell.

So while Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch prepare to head to the United Kingdom, the WWE Universe waits in anticipation. 

Money in the Bank is one of those special nights of the year when WWE can, and will, be turned upside down.
