Earlier this year, Doudrop was a featured performer nearly every week on Monday Night RAW, teaming with Eva Marie and Nikki Cross and enjoying a singles run before seemingly disappearing off the face of the earth in July. Since Triple H’s takeover of WWE creative, Doudrop has only wrestled in seven matches, losing five of them. Her last match took place on the Sept. 6 episode of NXT, where she and Nikki Cross defeated Toxic Attraction’s Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin in tag team action.
Fans of the British superstar have noticed her absence and rumors began running rampant online that she was being repackaged from Doudrop back to her original character and NXT UK personality, Piper Niven. Whether Doudrop has taken a leave of absence to work on her new character is yet to be known, but she did finally take to Twitter where she posted a new photo of herself flexing in a gym locker room with the caption, “Not dead, don’t worry.”
The 31-year-old’s professional wrestling career began in 2007 when she wrestled in the United Kingdom and Japan for over a decade before getting the call from WWE. She then spent two years in NXT UK where she unsuccessfully challenged for the NXT UK Women’s Championship multiple times and competed in the Mae Young Classic tournament. In 2021 she debuted on the main roster as Eva Marie’s security before the short-lived partnership dissolved and saw Doudrop challenge for the RAW Women’s Championship at the 2022 Royal Rumble as well as the Women’s Tag Team Championships. She has still never tasted WWE gold. Based on her photo, it seems that Doudrop will be back sooner rather than later, much to the delight of her fans.
