As the sun sets on another spectacular campaign in England’s top flight, while some within the Premier League domain are dreading the thought of weekends devoid of watching the pitch-perfect play across the pond, many are rejoicing at the bountiful harvest, for which they are about to receive: a simultaneously played 10-match footy feast, appropriately dubbed, “Championship Sunday.”

From sea to shining sea, pubs, taverns and bars alike will host a bevy of watch parties for legions of loyal fans, so if you can’t score tickets to your favorite match, or you’re not in the mood to grapple over the remote with your cartoon-craving kids, fear not. With so many games and so many ways to watch, not to mention Liverpool hosting its second Premier League trophy live in front of adoring fans at Anfield, there’s enough of the “beautiful game” to keep us all satiated. Now here’s a look at everything you need to know about the final match day of play in the 2024-2025 English Premier League season.

What’s at stake during Championship Sunday?

While the lads from Anfield torched the rest of the Premier League table this season thanks, in large part, to new manager Arne Slot successfully steering Liverpool’s ship out of the Jurgen Klopp era, the extremely tight race amongst the third-place club and on down through the seventh-place club means there’s a lot at stake come “Championship Sunday.” Considering the top-five finishing EPL clubs automatically qualify for a Champions League slot, the three point gap is all that hangs in the balance as seven clubs vie for the last three spots. Here’s a look at that part of the table:

How to watch Liverpool’s trophy celebration

After acclaimed broadcasters Jon Champion, Lee Dixon and Graeme Le Saux call the clash between Liverpool and Crystal Palace, the Reds, who clinched the club’s second Premier League title and now share the record of 20 titles in England’s top flight with Manchester United, will hoist the coveted cup in front of a boisterous hometown crowd, airing on NBC, Peacock and Telemundo.

Last time Liverpool won the Premier League trophy in 2020, COVID protocols forced the Reds to celebrate with nothing but empty seats in front of them. But this time around, Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and rest of the lads from Anfield will be greeted to thundering applause from throngs of exuberant Liverpool supporters.
