Bray Wyatt Documentary Trailer

“Wrestling is not a love story, it’s much more. It’s hope,” the trailer begins, followed by the voice of Wyatt, whose real name was Windham Rotunda, explaining that he wanted to be a WWE Superstar to follow in the footsteps of his father, WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda.

From there, the trailer shows Superstars who crossed paths with Wyatt throughout the years complimenting his acumen in shaping storylines and feuds within WWE. Triple H calls him “a whirlwind of ideas” followed by John Cena referring to him as “the ultimate villain.” The documentary will include interviews with other Superstars like Hulk Hogan, Becky Lynch and Wyatt's brother Taylor Rotunda. Indeed, throughout his time in WWE, Wyatt created many creative moments that stand the test of time. From stories and characters such as the infamous run as The Fiend to his classic Firefly Funhouse segments, many fans would argue there is no other like Wyatt. All the while, he captured many coveted titles within WWE such as the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship.

What to expect from the Bray Wyatt Documentary

The WWE Universe was shocked to learn in August of 2023 that Rotunda had died at age 36.

“Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda - also known as Bray Wyatt - unexpectedly passed earlier today,” Triple H wrote on X (formerly Twitter) at the time. “Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”

After that, an outpouring of support and mourning came from fans of Wyatt from both his colleagues and the WWE Universe at large. Now, fans will be given an even more in-depth look at this instrumental figure in WWE history by way of the Peacock original documentary Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal, which also features interviews with his family and friends promising to give a never-before-seen look at what the man was like when he wasn’t creating unique moments in the ring and was simply living his personal life as Rotunda. The documentary, narrated by Mark William Calaway, better known as ‘The Undertaker,' will also feature never-before-seen footage from the WWE archives.

"Bray Wyatt is one of the most revered and mysterious characters in WWE history," a press release for the documentary reads. "The story behind that character and the man himself, Windham Rotunda, has never been documented until now. Using never-before seen interviews and exclusive backstage footage, Windham Rotunda’s inspiring story unfolds. This documentary chronicles Windham’s incredible rise to worldwide fame as a WWE Superstar, and the struggles and success that came with being a creative visionary."

Watch Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal only on Peacock on April 1, 2024.
