'Miz & Mrs' Stars Say They'd Appear, Compete On Shows Like 'The Challenge,' 'Amazing Race'

Mike "The Miz" Mizanin has gone on many competitive shows, but which one would he team up with his wife, Maryse, on?

By Tyler McCarthy

Mike and Maryse Mizanin have conquered many challenges together. Whether it’s in the WWE ring, parenting their two daughters, starring in their own reality show, or dealing with Marjo, their partnership can seemingly get them through anything. Now, they’re considering testing their mettle on a competition series.

How to Watch

Stream Seasons 1-3 of "Miz & Mrs" on Peacock.

The “Miz & Mrs” stars attended the People’s Choice Awards Tuesday where they met up with E! Red Carpet host Laverne Cox, who couldn’t help but ask about their notoriously supportive relationship — specifically, how they keep the magic alive and surprise each other.

“Today, she surprised me by this dress because she looked absolutely insane. Every day there’s always a new surprise,” he said

“Well trained,” Maryse joked.

She then got serious noting he surprises her by being a good dad to their daughters. He even spearheaded the girls’ first Elf on a Shelf experience this year, which has been the biggest thing going on in their household this month.

With that, Cox asked if they planned to take on any other televised challenges. For those unfamiliar, Mike got his start developing his “The Miz” persona on “The Real World” in the early 2000s. Because of that, he was tapped to do more competitive shows like  “The Challenge,” “Fear Factor,” and “Dancing With The Stars.” As for what he’d do with Maryse, The Miz offered a few options.

“Oh my goodness, what would we do together? I mean ‘Amazing Race’ would be a lot of fun,” he said. “We’re definitely not doing, like, an ‘American Idol’ or ‘The Voice’ because neither of us can sing, we’re definitely not doing that.”

He added: “I mean, ‘The Challenge’ is making a comeback. I was on ‘The Challenge’ quite a bit. We would do pretty amazing on that, but honestly, those things are pretty tough.”

If Mike and Maryse are indeed looking to test their skills in a competition series that puts their mental and physical acumen to the test, they need to look no further than the network they’re already on. “Snake In The Grass” could be a good fit for the couple. However, it’s hardly a team game. That said, flying accusations about being a saboteur in the jungle would certainly test their seemingly bulletproof partnership.
