'I Need Some Alone Time': 'Miz & Mrs' Stars Explain Why They Relocated Their Moms

Maryse and Mike Mizanin had to tell their mothers Marjo and Barbara that they found them their own homes to live in... It didn't go over so well.

Maryse and Mike Mizanin had some difficulty getting their mothers out of their house so that they could have some alone time, all of which plays out in “Miz & Mrs” Season 3.

How to Watch

As fans of the show know, WWE’s “It Couple” has spent years with Maryse's mother, Marjo, and Mike's mother, Barbara, living in their home and helping them raise their two daughters, Monroe and Madison. However, now that the girls are a little older and the pandemic has somewhat subsided, they decided it’s time to give the moms the boot in the most polite way possible.

Speaking to “Access Daily” hosts Kit Hoover and Zuri Hall on Wednesday, the duo discussed the uncomfortable but necessary process of getting their moms into their own places. Maryse admitted she was reluctant to talk about the issue publicly given her mom’s propensity to watch everything she does.

“She’ll probably be watching this,” she told the hosts.

“She will 1000 percent,” a delighted Mike responded. “So go ahead, tell the world, Maryse, why you threw her out of our house.”

“Sometimes… you need a little alone time,” she said diplomatically.

Mike, however, had no trouble being candid about their decision to get some distance between them and Marjo.

“You like watching her because she’s entertaining, imagine living with her,” he said with a laugh. “It’s a lot.”

He added: “By the way, she’s the only person who would find a negative when we go to her and we say, ‘We found you a house, we fully furnished it.’”

Mike then did his best Marjo impression, including her French-Canadian accent, to say, “You’re kicking me out?”

“Yes, we’re kicking you out in the nicest way possible!”

Marjo, whose new place is roughly eight minutes away, isn’t the only one who got kicked out of the Mizanin house. His mom, Barbara, over-cleaned the place one too many times for their liking. Although they're grateful for all she does, they're putting a new value on privacy.

“It’s great to have someone that loves you to clean your house,” Maryse explained. “But at some point, it gets a little much as well. When you’re taking a shower and you see someone walking in…”

“If there’s something out of place, my mom is a perfectionist. It reminds me of ‘Misery’ when the lady sees the bird was turned the other way,” Mike added. “It’s a little much. Then with laundry, we have to put a note saying, ‘Do not touch the laundry’ because she turns things red or pink or shrinks them.”

Maryse explained that the plan was never to have them live with them and their daughters for so long. However, the pandemic turned a few weeks into a few months into a few years.

“And we were like, ‘Look you need to get out!’” Mike joked. “I need time with, I mean, have you seen my wife? I need some alone time.”

Watch how the moms take their new arrangement on Season 3 of "Miz & Mrs" airing Mondays at 11 p.m. ET/PT on USA Network.
