TrackHouse Racing may be the new kid on the block – but they’ve already made a huge impact on the NASCAR scene since their inception.
Co-founded by acclaimed former NASCAR Cup Series driver Justin Marks, TrackHouse was founded around a few core principles. Just moments after its inception, Marks went on the record as saying “the mission of TrackHouse is inspired by passion, purpose, and possibility.”
While on the surface that mission statement may seem a bit cookie-cutter, TrackHouse is anything but.
After all, it always helps when your team almost immediately makes NASCAR history – which is exactly what happened earlier this summer.
On June 12 at Sonoma Raceway, Daniel Suárez – driving his iconic #99 Chevrolet – made history by taking the checkered flag and becoming the first Mexican-born driver to ever win a NASCAR race.
Not too bad for a race house just a few years old.
On that day, Daniel Suárez proved to the world that TrackHouse Racing lived up to its mission statement. With that historic victory, passion, purpose, and possibility all came together at the same time to put the young race house in the history books.on the map.
When they’re not making history, TrackHouse is busy simply winning. Sharing the spotlight with Daniel Suárez is Ross Chastain, driving the #1 Chevrolet. He’s brought a proven track record to TrackHouse, and he’s been busy this year, most notably winning at Charlotte Motor Speedway in March, notching his 4th career checkered flag.
But while TrackHouse has already made an impact on the asphalt, they may find it tricky to avoid the spotlight off the track.
That’s because one of the owners of the race house is none other than Mr. Worldwide himself, Pitbull.
If you’re an upstart racing house and you want to make shockwaves both on and off the track, it’s safe to say that taking home checkered flags and being steered at the helm by a Grammy Award-winning rapper and investment mogul would absolutely do the trick.
Pitbull’s popularity and influence in the entertainment world obviously draws attention – but NASCAR as a whole can benefit from it. For Pitbull’s fans around the world who constantly wonder what he’s up to, his hands-on involvement with TrackHouse will only lead to more eyeballs watching on television and more fans jam-packed at the races.
And as one of the most bombastic and outspoken artists in all of music, who knows what kind of Miami-inspired influence Pitbull will have on the squad?
Only time will tell, but Pitbull has traditionally been very hands-on in all of the ventures he’s involved himself in. That was evident in the premier episode of USA Network's "Race for the Championship," which captured one of Pitbull's visits to team headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee. It’ll be interesting to see his journey with TrackHouse as it evolves over time.
And it's not all about glitz and glamour, either. One of TrackHouse's stated goals off the asphalt is to raise awareness for STEM education. After all, someone has to usher in the next generation of automotive engineers, right?
Although they’re still in their infancy compared to other major race houses, it’s clear that TrackHouse is looking to shake things up in the racing world. They have the drivers, the leadership, and the deep pockets to be arguably the biggest players in all of NASCAR.
In the end, it all comes back to passion, purpose, and possibility.
All eyes will be on them for the foreseeable future – and with top-tier talent in the ownership level and the driver level, we’re willing to bet that they will welcome that attention. The race house has been built from the ground up to perform at the highest level – and to exceed the highest expectations.
So far, so good.
