With SummerSlam just hours away, we think it's time to pause our nonstop onslaught coverage of the event and take a look at the lighter side of professional wrestling. After all, for the better part of a month, USA Insider has prepared the WWE Universe for The Biggest Party of the Summer in every aspect. We've broken down the numbers, previewed the biggest matches, and interviewed plenty of Superstars along the way.

One of Cody Rhodes' Youngest Fans Goes Viral

SummerSlam 2023 will be one for the ages – but today, let's lighten the mood and focus on this adorable video of Cody Rhodes reacting to a young member of the WWE Universe recreating his iconic entrance. Cody made waves earlier this week when he revealed he would become the latest WWE Superstar to join TikTok – and so far, he hasn't disappointed!

Unsurprisingly, The American Nightmare gave the young fan a "ten out of ten" in the unofficial scorebook.

We don't know what our favorite part of the video is – there are too many to count. We can't decide whether it's the "whoa" pose, Cody's reaction, or the reveal of another kid sitting on-camera, oblivious to all of the cuteness presented by their older sister! Either way, we can't get enough of that picture-perfect arms-extended Cody pose.

For Cody Rhodes, His SummerSlam Preparation is Over

Predictably, the video has gone viral, and we don't know whether Cody can handle the upcoming neverending flood of WWE fans sending him videos of their kids recreating their own American Nightmare moments. Nevertheless, we're sure Cody appreciated the respite from his own SummerSlam preparations. His match with Brock Lesnar is destined to be one of the most thrilling and hard-hitting matches in recent memory.

Not many Superstars find themselves in a rubber match against Brock – mostly because Brock disassembles his opponents so that a third bout isn't physically possible. But Cody being Cody, he's found himself in the enviable position to potentially boast of two wins over The Beast – an accolade that only the best of the best have secured.

After the unfortunate outcome at WrestleMania earlier this year, Cody's year only worsened once Brock Lesnar put The American Nightmare in his crosshairs. But at SummerSlam, Cody has a chance to reverse his fortunes – a win over Brock on August 5 would be more than just personally satisfying; it would potentially position him as one of the top contenders to either top WWE championship. For Roman Reigns, Cody climbing back up the ranks to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship would be a worst-case scenario – and that's only if The Tribal Chief can make it past Jey Uso tomorrow evening.

There's no more waiting, SummerSlam 2023 is finally here. It's time for the WWE Universe to see what Cody Rhodes is made of.

You can tune in to Peacock to watch WWE's SummerSlam on August 5. In the meantime, catch up on all things WWE Universe on Peacock as well.
