It's been a while since we saw Harry and the Patience gang on our screens. So, above, you'll find a Harry-approved (and narrated) recap of everything you need to know about Resident Alien before diving into Season 4 when it premieres on its new home network, USA Network.
What to know about Resident Alien before watching Season 4
We start out strong: "On my way to destroy your miserable planet, I was shot down by an entire fleet of enemy ships. It definitely was not lightning. I murdered the town doctor and took over his identity."
Enter: alien-in-disguise Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle — pepperoni pizza connoisseur, single dad, and lover of humanity.
"Once I took over his body, I blended into your society perfectly."
Cue Harry "playing" basketball and eating glass like a champ.
"I wish I had completed my mission and destroyed the human species, but there are a few people I’m happy are not dead," Harry continues. "Asta is my friend. I love her, but not in the sex way. She loves me, too. The red-headed one is annoying, but she is Asta’s best friend, so I will definitely let her live... I will probably let her live."

Asta Twelvetrees (played by Sara Tomko) is Harry's long-suffering best friend, and has spent the past three seasons working her butt off to both keep Harry's alien secret and encourage his love for humans. Asta's bestie, D'arcy Bloom (Alice Wetterlund), is also finally in on the secret, and isn't above pulling a sacrifice play or two.
"And there is also a boy named Max. He is the little shit I tried to kill first. I do not even like him. And if anybody says I care about him, they are a liar."
Max Hawthorne (Judah Prehn) has a rare genetic gift that allows him to see past aliens' shape-shifting powers to their true forms. It gave little Max one hell of a fright in Season 1, but he's adjusted over the years, and now he and Harry are best frenemies forever.

"This is my baby boy. He is half human, half alien. He bridges our two worlds. That is why his name is Bridget."
And Bridget... causes a lot of problems.
"In my short time on this pretty little planet, I have solved a murder, and I was able to keep your dumb species safe from the wrath of my people."
