There's nothing quite like Premier League football as we careen toward the league's jam-packed holiday schedule and the NBC family of platforms is the best way to enjoy all the action, from exclusive matches on USA Network to a literal wonderland of content on Peacock. The marquee matchup this weekend pits two iconic Premier League clubs against each other as Chelsea (15 points; 4-3-4) hosts Manchester City (27 points; 9-0-2) at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City sits atop the Premier League table, leapfrogging first place Tottenham, after their third straight victory last weekend, a 6-1 win over Bournemouth. Bernardo Silva led the way for Man City with two goals in front of the home fans at Etihad Stadium. After breaking the single season Premier League scoring record last season, Erling Haaland hasn’t missed a beat. He leads the Premier League with 11 goals this year as Man City looks to win their fourth straight league title. Haaland did suffer an ankle injury vs. Bournemouth and was substituted at halftime, but City manager Pep Guardiola said it was just a precaution. Haaland looked just fine in City’s Champions League Group Stage match versus Young Boys on Tuesday, scoring two goals in the 3-0 victory. Man City has won their last six matches vs Chelsea in all competitions.

Chelsea enters Sunday’s match vs Man City coming off their biggest win of the season, a shocking 4-1 win over Spurs last weekend. Nicolas Jackson led the way for Chelsea, finishing with his first career hat trick over the then unbeaten and first-place Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs were dealt two red cards (Cristian Romero in the 33rd minute and Destiny Udogie in the 55th minute) leaving them with just nine men for most of the second half. All three of Jackson’s goals came after the red cards. This was the first time all season Chelsea scored four goals in a match. Their highest scoring output before last weekend was a 3-1 victory over West Ham United back on August 20. Jackson’s five goals this season put him in the top 10 in scoring this season. Chelsea has been strong recently, winning five of their last seven in all competitions. They’ve also yet to lose against the so-called Big 6 teams this season, beating Spurs and drawing versus both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Chelsea leads the all-time series between the two clubs with a 62-54-39 record.
