Despite its hiatus in 2024, the English Premier League Summer Series is headed back across the pond to the United States for the second iteration of the fan-favorite footy tournament.

Hot off Chelsea’s win of a revamped Club World Cup, the stateside competition will feature four squads from His Majesty’s top flight battling for pitch supremacy in a week-long tournament across three different stadiums. The Blues took home the glory in the league’s inaugural 2023 competition after defeating Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United and Aston Villa all on Uncle Sam’s turf.

With only a few days left before the fixtures begin, here’s everything to know about the 2025 Premier League Summer Series.

Which teams are playing in the 2025 Premier League Summer Series?

A perennial league blueblood, 13-time Premier League champions Manchester United will headline the league’s second Summer Series along with AFC Bournemouth, Everton and West Ham United. While the Red Devils stand head and shoulders above the other clubs in popularity, their time atop the league has waned in recent years as they fell to 15th place in the standings this year. Out of the remaining contenders, only Bournemouth cracked a top-10 finish in their 2024-2025 campaign.

Following the guidelines of the Premier League’s debut Summer Series tournament in 2023, a win will earn a team three points, whereas a draw will only garner one point. No points will be allotted for a loss. In the event that teams accumulate the same amount of points, goal differentials, followed by total goals scored will be used. The club with the most points will be crowned champion of the tournament.
