Blake Shelton's Spending His Summer at a Famous Party Lake Before Barmageddon Return
Blake Shelton is getting some rest and relaxation in before he's back to work on Barmageddon.
Blake Shelton is living it up on his summer vacation between his final appearance on The Voice and his return to Barmageddon. The country singer was recently spotted at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri soaking up the sun and enjoying some of the local bars and restaurants.
On Sunday, the local Coconuts Caribbean Beach Bar & Grill posted a photo to its Facebook showing two of its security guards on the dock with none other than the “Ol’ Red” singer himself dressed in full fun-Dad vacation attire, complete with red shorts, Crocs, a trucker cap and a colorful Hawaiian shirt that simply screams “I’m here to relax and party.”
“You never know who you may see here at The Nut. Thanks for swinging by Blake Shelton and welcome to 'Gods Country' … Missouri edition,” the restaurant captioned the image.
According to Lake Expo, Shelton spent his weekend hitting all the best hot spots the lake had to offer on a solo trip while his wife, Gwen Stefani, is hard at work on her tour in the U.K. In addition to Coconuts, he reportedly stopped at a place called Dog Days Bar & Grill as it was celebrating its 30th year of operation. That’s not surprising given that the country singer has a soft spot for quality dining establishments' anniversaries.
Recently, he phoned in from his ranch in Oklahoma to help the Orlando, Florida, location of his bar, Ole Red, celebrate three years since its grand opening. Shelton video called into the venue during one of its many live performances while taking a break from working the land on his ranch. Now it seems that, with whatever work he was doing now done, he’s unwinding from all the manual labor by taking a trip to the Lake of the Ozarks for some much-needed summertime rest and relaxation.
Fear not Shelton fans, he’ll be back to work soon alongside Carson Daly and Nikki Garcia when Barmageddon makes its way back to Ole Red in Nashville for another round of heightened bar games and smack talk. One could consider his romp from bar to bar in Missouri as just job research. We’re sure he does.
