Blake Shelton’s Country Cover of Usher’s Hit “Yeah” Will Surprise You

In 2013, country star Blake Shelton gave a nod to fellow former The Voice Coach Usher (Seasons 4 and 6) while performing in Pittsburgh. Shelton chose to sing one of the R&B star's smash hits "Yeah!," and pulled off covering a hip hop tune in a totally fun way.

In the clip, we catch a glimpse of Shelton singing the chorus to "Yeah!" with his signature country twang before singing the lyrics to the verse on the beat. Looking totally free-spirited on stage, he joked with the crowd while he momentarily paused to remember the lyrics in a funny moment. 

What to know about "Yeah!" by Usher

One of Usher's signature hits, "Yeah" was released off of his 2004 album "Confessions." Critically and commercially acclaimed, the hip-hop tune earned the number one spot on the Billboard Charts for 12 weeks, and received a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. According to MTV, "Yeah!" was the most played song of 2004.
