Here Are Our Favorite Bars And Restaurants Owned By Celebrities

Blake Shelton's Ole Red will be the backdrop to the new USA Network series "Barmageddon," but you can check out these celebrity restaurants and bars right now.

By Becca van Sambeck

Celebrities, they're just like us: They dream of one day owning a bar.

How to Watch

Watch new episodes of Barmageddon Mondays at 11/10c on USA Network

Of course, unlike most of us, they actually can make that happen. As it turns out, plenty of fun and amazing bars and restaurants are owned by celebs. Just consider Ole Red in Nashville, a bar and music venue owned by Blake Shelton. It's also going to be the backdrop for the upcoming USA Network series "Barmageddon," which stars Blake Shelton, Nikki Bella, and Carson Daly as they play bar games at Ole Red with an array of guests.

But Ole Red isn't the only iconic celeb-owned bar out there. Here are some more of our favorites.

Ole Red, Various Locations (Blake Shelton)

But of course, our favorite of them all has to be Ole Red, the bar and music venue owned by Blake Shelton. It's the perfect place to enjoy good drinks, good food, and good vibes. Plus, country musicians regularly play there to entertain the crowds. There are locations all over the United States, including Las Vegas, Orlando, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, but the flagship one remains the Nashville location, which will play home to "Barmaggedon" when it premieres on USA Network later this year.

Ray's, New York City (Nicholas Braun & Justin Theroux)

If you've ever read the popular celeb gossip account Deuxmoi, you've heard of Ray's. The dive bar in the Lower East side attracts plenty of celebrity clientele — as well as gawkers hoping to be served by "Succession" star Nicholas Braun, who occasionally hops behind the bar. Braun is one of the co-owners of the spot, as is actor Justin Theroux.

Tom Tom, Los Angeles (Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz & Lisa Vanderpump)

"Vanderpump Rules" was originally about the inner world of workers at Sur, a restaurant owned by Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump, but has since become a massive success with those bartenders and servers becoming celebrities in their own right. Since then, Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz have teamed up with Lisa Vanderpump to open up their own cocktail bar by Sur called Tom Tom. Yes, you are greeted by a massive portrait of the famous kiss the Toms shared onscreen.

Saints And Sinners, New Orleans (Channing Tatum)

New Orleans certainly doesn't lack for cool establishments to drink at, but Saints and Sinners certainly has an edge thanks to a celebrity co-owner: Channing Tatum himself. This bar and restaurant is located on Bourbon Street and describes itself as "a wicked good time." It's styled after old-timey bordellos, with plenty of red velvet and leather, and prides itself on both its food and cocktails.

Swan And Bar Bevy, Miami (Pharrell Williams)

Pharrell William at Swan

Co-owned by Pharrell Williams, this two-door restaurant and bar is located in Miami's Design District and features a sidewalk café as well. The inside is bright and swathed with greenery, and the food is "centered around seasonal and market-driven ingredients," according to the website. Basically, it's a chic, stylish spot to grab a delicious meal!

SPIN, Various Locations (Susan Sarandon)

Do you love drinking? Do you love ping pong? Well, then you'll really love SPIN, a social ping pong club co-owned by Susan Sarandon. It's a super fun spot to play this tabletop sport, enjoy good drinks, and hang with friends. SPIN is clearly popular as there are locations now in Boston, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C., and even Toronto.

The 40/40 Club, New York City (Jay-Z)

Jay Z's 40 40 Club

Jay-Z is a business mogul who has supported all kinds of business ventures, so it's not surprising to learn he's taken a dive into the restaurant world. He co-owns a chain of upscale sports clubs and lounges called The 40-40 Club, named after a rare baseball playing benchmark: stealing 40 bases and hitting 40 home runs in a single season. Currently, there are multiple locations in New York City and one in Atlanta.

Beer Bar, Salt Lake City (Ty Burrell)

Looking for a chill, casual spot to enjoy a beer and German classics in Utah? Try visiting Beer Bar, a Salt Lake City restaurant co-owned by "Modern Family" star Ty Burrell. It's a large, modern space with scores of different beers available.

“It’s a super simple menu, which is what we wanted from the beginning,” Burrell told the Associated Press in 2018 of the restaurant's food. "Basic, but well-made and local. Instead of putting the energy into a lot of elements, making sure you have fewer elements and you are taking the time to make them right.”
