Barmageddon Season 2: Behind the Bar

If you watched the first season of Barmageddon, the USA Network game show where celebrities compete in outlandish versions of classic pub drinking games, you know things can get a little, well, hectic. Season 2 premieres on November 13, and as evidenced by a new video of the various all-star contestants teasing the upcoming batch of episodes, the second round of Barmageddon might be even wilder.

How to Watch

“The games? They’re just so much more fun and chaotic and crazy,” says Nikki Garcia, a wrestling Hall of Famer who returns to host the sophomore season. Real-life friends Blake Shelton and Carson Daly star in and executive produce the series, which features two celebrities facing off in games like Air Cannon Cornhole, Keg Curling, and Drunken Axe Hole each episode.

Shelton will be competing in several episodes this season and one will see him squaring off with none other than his better half, Gwen Stefani.

“It’s interesting to go against Gwen in anything because she is the least competitive person that I have known in my life,” Shelton says of his wife in the video, though anybody who has watched The Voice, where Stefani is currently a Coach, knows that the No Doubt singer is a force to be reckoned with.

“I already won. I won you,” Stefani tells Shelton in the video, a show of affection that instantly has the country star feeling paranoid that she’s going to “reverse psychology” him.

Other celebrities glimpsed in the video include Boyz II Men, who boldly declare that they’re going to win, and Carly Pearce, a veteran of the first season of Barmageddon who says she’s “a little cocky” because she won the first round.

Jelly Roll, the rising country singer and rapper, appears frequently in the video, and he’ll be competing against comedian Gabriel Iglesias in his episode.

“I didn’t go through all this sh-t just to come in second,” Jelly Roll says, bragging in a clip from the episode that he’s “the fat f---ing Larry Bird, dude!”

As much as the games and competition are a draw for the show, a big part of the appeal is just to watch celebrities hanging out, which can lead to some amusing interactions.

“I love when people you’ve seen on TV try to introduce themselves,” Jelly Roll says. “Like, ‘Hey, I’m Carson Daly.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, dude, I know.’”

Podcaster Chris Hardwick (who could stand to work on his trash-talking) can be seen in the video drinking a concoction of sweet corn soda with a shot of butter and a salted rim, much to his dismay.

“Drink nasty sh-t,” was Hardwick’s three-word description of Barmageddon. Fast X star Michelle Rodrigez had a different answer, though.

“Chaos. Sh-t show — is sh-t show one word?” Rodrigez asked. (Merriam-Webster says both are acceptable.)

Kelly Clarkson, Rob Wriggle, and more can be seen in the video, and other stars who will appear in Season 2 include Bill Engvall, Al Madrigal, Nikki Glaser, Ice-T, David Arquette, and more. All of them better bring their A-games to these drinking games, although Jelly Roll had a note about that.

“I’ve done more sweating than drinking, so I want to talk to who is in charge,” he jokes.

Barmageddon Season 2 premieres on USA Network on Monday, November 13 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. You can watch Barmageddon Season 1 on Peacock.
