There’s no doubt that Blake Shelton and Carson Daly have a unique friendship, which the duo will put on full display in the upcoming USA Network series “Barmageddon.” However, with so many stars aligning to make their show business bromance a reality, some may be wondering if perhaps fate is at play.

How to Watch

Those who subscribe to astrology (or just find it kind of fun) may not be surprised to learn the duo’s working relationship is in line with their signs. Shelton, born June 18, is a Gemini. Although his birthday falls a mere four days later on June 22, Daly is a Cancer.

Cosmopolitan notes that Cancer signs tend to enjoy attention, which makes sense for a man who has been a successful TV host for the better part of 30 years. They exhibit a lot of charm and charisma, and like to be in control of a given project — or at the very least have a say in what goes into keeping things on track. When it comes to friendship, they’re supposedly fiercely loyal and expect a lot of give-and-take when it comes to any partnership.

By contrast, Allure describes Geminis as being very freewheeling and full of ideas — almost too full. They tend to have so much going on and so much that they want to accomplish that they often wish they could be in more than one place at a time. This tracks for a man like Shelton, who has been cranking out hit songs and taking them on tour for years. Geminis also tend to be social butterflies. They have ideas that will benefit people and can’t wait to share them.

So, you’ve got one sign that likes to take charge of a good idea and turn it into something successful, and you’ve got another sign that keeps coming up with awesome ideas they struggle to direct. Where do they intersect? Well, in Shelton and Daly’s case, “Barmageddon.”

As for how they compete, even the stars can’t know what will go down when Daly and Shelton form teams to go head to head in a series of heightened bar games at the latter’s Ole Red restaurant in Nashville. Fortunately, they have former WWE Superstar Nikki Bella there to cool things off if they get too heated.

Fans will just have to tune into “Barmageddon” later this year to find out how it all shakes out between the two signs.
