The Miz Can't Believe People Are Cheering For Logan Paul In The WWE Ring

"I don’t think there is anything I can do for them to love me and cheer me."

Despite his latest stint as Dexter Lumis' kidnap victim, The Miz found some time to sit down with the "New York Post" for a revealing phone interview that gave fans some insight into how he felt about his feud with Logan Paul, what it’s like to star in USA Network's "Miz & Mrs," and, of course, Lumis.

The self-proclaimed “Most Must-See Superstar In WWE History,” who is currently navigating WWE’s complicated landscape with Ciampa by his side, opened the interview by touching on what it’s been like to work with celebrities in WWE such as Bad Bunny and Logan Paul, as well as reminded fans that he is a multi-talented Superstar. Miz also admitted that he was worried about working with the YouTube star, not because of Paul’s lack of experience, but because of the way the match could’ve been perceived by fans.

“When you’re [being] booed and it’s two people in a ring that people don’t like, it’s a very difficult match to do! To be able to have one of those people at the end of the match, people chanting one of their names, that’s a huge, huge testament to both parties in working and figuring out what the audience truly wants and giving it to them," he said.

In a recent interview with SEScoops, Ciampa praised The Miz for being an awesome mentor (no pun intended) and for being able to successfully work with celebrities who don’t have a traditional wrestling background. Ciampa and The Miz were involved in a feud for Bobby Lashley’s United States Title, but priorities quickly shifted after The A-Lister was kidnapped by Dexter Lumis not once, but twice.

“It’s something I honestly don’t like to talk about. It’s a little embarrassing,” Miz said.

He quickly brought the focus back on his match with Logan Paul and expanded on why he’s so happy with how the match turned out. In addition, he also shared with the WWE Universe how he believes he portrays himself on the hit reality show, "Miz & Mrs" and how that plays out in the ring.

“Going against Logan Paul, I was like, ‘There’s no way they’re gonna cheer him. There’s no way.’ But for Logan to be turned into a good guy and cheered at the end of that match, I was like damn. I don’t think there is anything I can do for them to love me and cheer me. Like there’s nothing. I put on a show, a comedy that shows my family that I’m a dad. You look at it and you go, 'This is a nice guy,' and no matter what I do, who I go up against, I’m gonna be booed.”
