Temptation Island: Get to Know Paris Pedro and Great Ezihie

Temptation Island Season 5 is premiering on June 14, and from the looks of it, it’s shaping up to be one of the spiciest seasons of the series with a new cast and twists and turns. One couple, in particular, is trying to figure out how to get on the same page when it comes to creating a family.

How to Watch

Watch Temptation Island on the USA app and Peacock.

Leonila “Paris” Pedro and her boyfriend Nzuechukwu “Great” Ezihie both come from cultures that don’t value monogamy, so it’s sure to get heated in the villas in some fashion. In their video introduction, they revealed how they met and what brought them to Temptation Island.

Paris, 23, an influencer, saw Great, 25, an engineer, on TikTok and started commenting on his videos before she eventually slid into his DMs roughly two years ago.

“She was shooting her shot, she had the heart eyes and everything,” Great said. Paris added that seeing him in person captured her heart — especially his brown eyes and muscles. They have been together for a year and eight months.

Their relationship is all about balancing each other out. “I’m the dramatic crazy one and he’s the calm one, it’s like the Libra, you know, balance,” Paris explained.

Great says he feels like he’s home whenever he’s around her, while Paris says he keeps her on her toes. What could possibly be wrong with their relationship? One is ready for a family. “I’m ready to start my family now,” Paris said, while Great adds it’s too soon. It’s not uncommon in her Angolan culture to marry young and start a family at an early age, so she’s applying pressure to Great while he wants to slow things down. In the video, he tells her that it’s a new age that when marriage is mentioned, it can scare someone away. Paris responds with, “You’re still here, I didn’t scare you away.”

Marriage and family aren’t the only issues in the relationship; trust is the main component.

In the video, Paris reveals that she has trust issues since Great has cheated on her in the past. “I feel like him being in the house, it’s going to show me his true colors,” she said. But Great says he is committed to doing whatever it takes to keep her and their relationship intact. In fact, he declares that he is a rare find.

“I’m one of the last good men that God has left," he said. However, Great says his biggest fear is Paris connecting with someone, while she is hopeful that he can control himself among the singles. She tells him he can’t have sex on national television and expect her to take him back. They hope spending time apart on the island resisting temptation will help them align their goals or prove they’re not going to be able to figure this out.

It sounds like they have a lot to work out and with host Mark L. Walberg’s advice and guidance, maybe they will both get the answers they need to either make the relationship work with each other or with someone else — or leave the island solo.

Tune into Temptation Island Season 5 on USA Network starting June 14. Catch up on past seasons only on Peacock.
