'Temptation Island' Host Mark L. Walberg's Best Advice From Twitter

The "Temptation Island" host offers sage wisdom both on the show and off it by way of his social media.

By Tyler McCarthy

If you’re a “Temptation Island” fan, you’ve likely heard the incredibly sage advice host Mark L. Walberg gives the singles and couples as they grapple with questions of love, life, and commitment. However, many may not know that following Walberg on Twitter is a great way to get some of that same thoughtful advice between seasons of the show.

How to Watch

Watch Temptation Island on the USA app and Peacock.

The host has been very careful to note in the past that he is not a licensed therapist. However, after spending so many years as the host of a relationship show, he’s found it impossible to avoid doling out words of wisdom to the cast at bonfires pulled from his own life experience as a husband, father, and son.

“The only thing I can bring to this is I’ve failed more than they’ve tried, so maybe I can help," he previously told TV Insider.

As a result, he spends a lot of his time thinking about mental health and ways people can improve their perceptions by simply shifting their way of thinking and how they react to the hurdles life throws at them. When he’s not teaching these lessons to the couples on “Temptation Island,” he often takes to Twitter to share these helpful kernels of wisdom with his followers.

As we wait to see what Season 5 of “Temptation Island” has in store, we're looking back at the best insight from Walberg.

Dealing With Anxiety

"I, too, have suffered from really bad anxiety. I try to catch it before it takes full hold! meditation, staying in the moment, reminding myself that I’m not in charge of everything, these tools help me!"

Walberg offered this advice to a fan who wrote that they often struggle with anxiety issues that prevents them from enjoying the good things that are happening to them.

Vibe Check

"Protect the Vibe. When part of a team, don’t underestimate the power of relationship as you work toward your goal. The magic happens in your vibe. Good Vibe. Great things happen. I promise. #protectthevibe"

The host shared this message of teamwork and positivity in December just in time to help people take on the stress of the holidays.

Acceptance

"Things just are. not good. not bad. you get to choose your relationship to any event. Why not play the game that everything that happens to you happens for you? And smile. #acceptance."

A common theme throughout Walberg's advice is the concept of accepting things as they are and not stressing out about how much better or worse they could be. This tweet, in particular, is a great example of a time when he tells his followers to take a step back and appreciate what is.

Ego Check

"When I’m stressed and lost, the best way for me to get back to my joyful self is to find a way to be of service to others. That’s the advil for an attack of my ego."

Here's fair piece of actionable advice from Walberg he offered earlier this year that directs his followers to be of service to others to help uplift their own mental clarity and joy.

Be Where You Are

"Are you restless? frustrated? anxious? me too sometimes. we’re dwelling on the future that doesn’t even exist. Breathe. Be right here. Everything is ok now. Our worrying has never fixed anything. #loveyou."

This is another piece in his long list of advice about acceptance and not letting comparison be the thief of joy.
