In the series, six divorced couples head to Costa Rica for a second chance at love with each other or someone else in the house.

Besides the prospect of finding love again, the final couple in a committed relationship will receive a prize of $50,000. Fletcher and Rodgers spoke with USA Insider ahead of the series premiere about whether they thought any of the couples would get back together. Both said they weren’t sure going in, but that some of the couples did manage to surprise them.

“You become so invested in not only the individuals but some of the relationships that are either former relationships or new ones that are blossoming," Fletcher said. "I think one of the craziest things about this show is divorce is a final destination that a lot of these couples make. It’s something no one takes lightly, so they have all been through divorce. They come on the show, some are set like ‘Dude peace out, like I’m gonna mingle, don’t get in my way.’ One’s ready to get back with their ex and the ex is like ‘No, no, no, no I’m going to meet someone new, so stay out of my way.'"

She teased that something magic happens amongst the divorcees in the villa who are adamant about not wanting anything to do with their ex. “You start to see those dynamics start to change," she said.

“[They're thinking] my ex isn’t so bad after all," Rodgers added.

Ultimately it boils down to whether it's better to reunite with an old love or move on with a new flame?JoJo and Jordan were lucky enough to find love on a dating show so hopefully, the six ex-couples can find love again too.

New episodes of The Big D premiere on Wednesdays at 10 PM ET right after new episodes of Temptation Island as part of USA’s Wednesday night "Hump Day" programming line-up.
