The Big D Hosts JoJo Fletcher & Jordan Rodgers Say Dr. Jada Jackson Helped Their Marriage
The Big D hosts JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers have been married for a year. They shared how much they learned about their own relationship by being on the show.
The new USA Network series The Big D sees six divorced couples take a shot at finding love once again, but it turns out the show's hosts also got some help during filming.
The show, which premieres on June 14, is hosted by married couple JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rogers. They're joined by relationship expert Dr. Jada Jackson who is there to help these divorced couples determine if they will pursue a second chance at love with their ex or with someone new in the house. However, she did double duty with the hosts, which they revealed in an interview.
Speaking with USAInsider, JoJo and Jordan revealed what they learned from Dr. Jada that they apply in their own relationship after being married for a year.
JoJo opened up about what they learned a lot from Dr. Jada and how much they absolutely loved working with her. Jordan said that, even off camera, they just soaked up all the relationship knowledge they could get from her.
“So, you'll see on the show that we get together and we run these exercises where couples or new couples get together. We put them in sometimes weird, sometimes funny situations that work on communication, some tools for their relationship, awkward moments and icebreakers. But, off camera, we got to sit in the green room, get makeup and our wardrobe for sometimes hours at a time with Dr. Jada and we got so many unbillable, hopefully, hours of therapy with Dr. Jada for ourselves,” Jordan explained.
Hosting the show was eye-opening for the couple because it made them realize things about their own relationship.
“We’re watching these relationships like everyone else will be on [June 14] and we’re going, 'Wait, we never really talked about that' or 'We struggle with that as well.' So, it was a great opportunity for us and it was really great for the contestants on this show because on a lot of shows, you don’t have that resource,” Jordan added.
It sounds like Dr. Jada is not only helping the hosts, but the contestants as they work to find new love or re-ignite the flame with their ex.
