While you've been glued to Resident Alien, you’ve likely lost count of how many times the delightful Alan Tudyk, aka Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle, has tickled your funny bone.

How to Watch

Watch Resident Alien on USA Network and Peacock.

The show, which concludes with Season 4 on USA Network and SYFY tonight, August 8, has always been a fun watch. Likewise, getting a peek at what goes on — and what can go awry — behind the scenes is bound to crack you up.

So, check out this blooper reel below that's once again reminding us of what makes Resident Alien so special and Tudyk such a sci-fi superstar.

This early Resident Alien blooper reel will have you feeling nostalgic

The 3-minute clip begins with back-to-back scenes of Tudyk, which are reminders that even polished pros who are masters of mannerisms and delivery can flub lines every now and then.

In this case, Harry is supposed to say “Unless you know anyone who has been in contact with other aliens …” But he can’t stop himself from saying “anyone who has met other aliens.”

Tudyk’s less-than-perfect line reading leads him to utter that he’s “sh-- out of f---,” a double expletive left on the cutting-room floor.

While in alien makeup in a scene with Judah Prehn as young Max, Tudyk laments that he’s “sh---y with ADR.” (That’s a reference Automated Dialogue Replacement, a post-production process where actors re-record dialogue.)

Also caught on tape: Harry and Asta (Sara Tomko) getting tripped up over who’s supposed to move first in a scene; Harry in a crowd scene reacting to a papaya joke; Deputy Liv and Sheriff Mike (Elizabeth Bowen and Corey Reynolds) ad-libbing after a flub, and D’arcy (Alice Wetterlund) getting tongue-tied and talking about a “crew time” podcast instead of a “true crime.” Oops.
