It is the third-to-last episode of the series, which will come to a close with the Season 4 finale on August 8, 2025.
Resident Alien is ending with Season 4
USA Network and SYFY confirmed ahead of the series panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 that Season 4 will be the fan-favorite series' final season.
“I knew going into it that this was likely going to be our final season,” series creator Chris Sheridan told TV Insider. “Creatively, that was exciting because I knew we could spend the time wrapping up some storylines and driving toward an ending. I’m so proud of how good Season 4 is and especially proud that we were able to finish as strongly as we did, with a finale that is probably my favorite episode of the series.”
The Patience gang is discovering Harry's true identity
Last week's episode, "Daddy Issues," saw Kate and Ben Hawthorne (Meredith Garretson and Levi Fiehler) finally learn the truth: That Harry is an alien, and their son has known this the whole time.
"It’s a complete family dynamic shift for us where I have to see my son in a new way, which factors really heavily into the [rest of the] season," Garretson told USA Insider. "There’s so much energy around feeling like I’ve been shut out of what’s been happening in town, in the world. The fact that D’arcy and Asta knew about what was going on and kept it from me (and also kept my baby from me) causes a lot of internal conflict and [reframes] the way I see myself and my friends."
Season 4 of Resident Alien drops new episodes on Fridays on USA Network and SYFY. All episodes are available to stream exclusively on Peacock one week after they air.
