Does Going On TV To Find Love Work? Well, It Happened For These Couples ...

These couples met on shows like "The Bachelor," "Love Island," and "Temptation Island." Against all odds, they fell in love and stayed together.

We watch reality dating shows such as "Temptation Island" to see people fall in love and find a happily ever after. Well, fine, we also watch for the steamy hookups, the ridiculous drama, and the gorgeous settings. But really, it's all about the romance, and while it may not seem like couples find their forever love on these shows, that's not quite the truth. Plenty of people on shows such as "The Bachelor," "Too Hot To Handle," and "Love Island" — which returns for new episodes on Tuesday, July 19, on Peacock — actually end up falling in love, getting married, and having children.

How to Watch

Watch Temptation Island on the USA app and Peacock.

These are just some of our favorite reality TV couples:

1. Kristen Ramos and Julian Allen

On "Temptation Island," couples are tempted by sexy singles to see if they really want to continue in their current relationship. For Kristen Ramos and Julian Allen, the experience proved they really did love each other. They revealed they were engaged during the Season 3 reunion, and the wedding is scheduled for July 2022. The officiant? None other than "Temptation Island" host Mark L. Walberg.

2. Emily Miller and Cam Holmes

The contestants on "Too Hot To Handle" are typically used to short-term relationships and casual hookups. But in Season 2, Emily Miller and Cam Holmes realized early on they had something real together. The two are still dating to this day, although there have been some setbacks: In June 2022, Emily revealed she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy and had to have her fallopian tube removed, E! News reported.

3. Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter

It's the blueprint for every person's dating show dreams: On Season 1 of "The Bachelorette," Trista Rehn, the first-ever Bachelorette, opted for a happy ending with Ryan Sutter after he wrote her a poem and proposed to her. The two married all the way back in 2003 and have been together ever since (yep, nearly 20 years now!).

4. Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney

However, people on reality dating shows don't always end up with the people we expect them to be with. On Season 13 of "The Bachelor," Jason Mesnick originally picked Melissa Rycroft and proposed to her. However, on the final "After The Rose Episode," Jason dumped her and admitted he now knew he really wanted to be with the runner-up, Molly Malaney. While that doesn't exactly scream "beginning of a stable romance," the two are still together to this day. Jason and Molly married in 2010 and have a child together.

5. Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde

The name "Love Island" came true for Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde in Series 2 of the show in 2016. The duo paired up on the first day and soon fell in love over the course of the show — ultimately winning the grand prize and splitting the cash. While the two did break up briefly after "Love Island," they're now married with two children.

6. Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton

On "Love Is Blind," people form a connection before ever laying eyes on each other. The viewers watch as they fall in love with someone they've never met — and the fallout that happens when they do. But for Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton on Season 1, the social experiment was a success. The duo are perfect for each other, and have now been married for over three years!

7. Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland

There must have been something in the water on Series 2 of "Love Island." Not only are the winners still together, but so are runners-up Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland! The two got together on the show and ultimately had the first "Love Island" wedding in 2018. In early 2022, they revealed they're expecting their first child together.

8. Iris Jardiel and Luke Wechselberger

Season 4 of "Temptation Island" was a bloodbath for the couples. By the reunion, every person in a couple was single — with one exception. Iris Jardiel and Luke Wechselberger came to the island with trust issues, but after working on their self-worth and their loyalty to each other, Luke decided to propose at the final bonfire. The two are now happily engaged and planning a wedding.
