Chucky, OshKosh B'gosh & Ryan Reynolds Team Up For 'Some Killer Product Placement'

If there are two groups that know a thing or two about overalls, it's these folks ...

Chucky Season 1v5

Our man Chucky has always been something of a fashion icon. Even before he first possessed a Good Guy doll all the way back in 1988, Charles Lee Ray had some killer looks, as audiences learned when we spent some time with a young Ray in "Chucky" Season 1. However, since said possession in "Child's Play," Chucky's been all about that overall life.

How to Watch

Watch Chucky on the USA app and Peacock.

And who can blame him? Certainly not the folks over at OshKosh B'gosh.

Yes, you read that correctly — trusted children's clothing brand OshKosh B'gosh recently teamed up with USA Network and SYFY as well as Ryan Reynolds' production company, Maximum Effort, for some prime brand crossover. In the below video, complete with scenes from the "Chucky" TV series and an appropriate level of tongue-in-cheek nods to product placement, some movie executives meet with OshKosh brand reps in 1988 to pitch them a movie about "a doll that comes to life."

If the timeframe weren't enough to hint at exactly what the movie is, the description of the doll definitely will: "He's got this bright red hair and, of course, the overalls."

This doll also gets into "trouble," a fact that doesn't concern the folks from OshKosh — the brand can handle anything a kid can throw at it, after all.

Things only get a bit uneasy after a mention of blood is brought into the mix.

"Kids are gonna love it," folks.

The video ends with a reminder that OshKosh B'gosh has been "Making quality kids clothes since 1985 ... And questionable partnerships since 1988."

Can we really blame them, though? Chucky can be very convincing ...

"OshKosh B’gosh is one of the most recognized brands of kids clothing in the world, and designs apparel with a playful personality that celebrates the imagination and creativity of the kids who wear it," per the brand's website.

You can catch new episodes of "Chucky" on USA Network and SYFY on Wednesday nights at 9/8c. Catch up on "Chucky" Season 1 on Peacock.
