Chase Chrisley celebrated a friend’s birthday with a video he undoubtedly knew would upset his parents, Julie and Todd, immensely.

How to Watch

Stream Seasons 1-9 of "Chrisley Knows Best" on Peacock.

On Thursday, Chase took to Instagram to celebrate his friend PGA legend John Daly's birthday by sharing a video of himself putting his complete trust in the golf pro’s skills with a club. The video shows the reality TV star making himself into a human tee by laying on his back and positioning a ball in his mouth.

He holds very still as Daly takes his club and expertly hits a ball off the tee in Chase’s mouth in what may have been one of the most high-stakes hits of his life. Does the ball go very far? Who cares! Chase almost lost his brilliant white teeth for the amusement of his Instagram followers — and that ought to be enough for anyone’s entertainment value.

Fortunately, Chase escapes the ill-advised tee-off without injury. Based on his reaction in the video after the ball sails down the fairway, he’s as surprised as anyone by that fact.

“Happy Birthday @pga_johndaly blessed to call you a friend my brother!” Chase captioned the video.

He added: “My parents were pi***d about this video.”

He was right. His mother, Julie, took to the comments section where she wrote, “I can’t even watch this!”

Todd, meanwhile, didn’t comment on his son’s video. While he may not approve of all Chase’s antics, in the Season 5 episode of "Chrisley Knows Best" titled “Differing Strokes,” Todd acknowledged that Chase is a more talented golfer than him during their not-so-friendly game against Jay DeMarcus. Although they ultimately lost the game, they shared a nice bonding moment on the links.

One wonders if, after seeing this video, Todd will allow Chase to golf without him ever again, though.
