Expect the Unexpected: Examining the Blueprint for the Raw After WrestleMania

WWE's WrestleMania weekend is capped off by the most unpredictable night of the year, RAW After WrestleMania!

When the final bell sounds on Sunday, April 7, the WWE Universe will only have 24 hours to catch its breath.

How to Watch

Watch Monday Night RAW every Monday evening at 8/7c on USA Network. Stream more exciting WWE series on Peacock.

No matter who emerges victorious in the Roman Reigns/Cody Rhodes WrestleMania Night Two main event, WWE's momentum will continue into the following evening when the annual Raw After WrestleMania takes place live on USA Network! Make no mistake about it; WrestleMania will rightfully be responsible for all the weekend's headlines, but every true fan knows that the Raw After WrestleMania historically is just as "can't-miss" as WrestleMania itself.

On April 8, the 2024 edition of Raw After WrestleMania will be broadcast live from Philadelphia. Here's everything fans should expect from arguably the most unpredictable and fun night on the WWE calendar!

Expect Familiar Faces Returning

In many ways, Raw After WrestleMania is a homecoming of sorts for your favorite WWE Superstars of the past. Whether it's Superstars like Dave Bautista returning after being away from the ring for years or Hall of Famers popping up to say hello to the WWE Universe, the evening is traditionally filled with blasts from the past.

Many consider WrestleMania the final act of WWE rivalries and storylines, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that returning WWE Superstars choose Raw After WrestleMania to kickstart fresh feuds and begin telling captivating stories of their own. WWE legends and Hall of Famers who are in town to experience WrestleMania live are often invited to partake in the festivities on Raw After WrestleMania – much to the delight of the fans.

Expect Wild Chants From the WWE Universe

For the past decade or so, the WWE Universe has—somewhat bizarrely—collectively decided to be extra creative with the audience participation aspect of their WWE fandom by unleashing the wildest crowd chants during Raw After WrestleMania. This aspect of the annual event has caused WWE officials to dub Raw After WrestleMania "Bizarro World" after being hilariously blindsided by so many creative chants.

We don't know how some of the most memorable chants in Raw After WrestleMania history started, but we're glad they happened nonetheless.

Some of the best parts of the show are witnessing your favorite Superstars try to keep a straight face while wrestling in the ring – some chants are so ridiculous they can't help but crack a smile! It's almost like the fans take it upon themselves to see if they can throw the Superstars off their game.

At any rate, we fully expect the Philadelphia faithful to bombard the arena with some of the most unforgettable chants we've heard in a long time. After two nights of experiencing WrestleMania's off-the-charts-drama, they deserve to let loose as WrestleMania weekend officially comes to a close!

Expect New WWE Superstars to Debut

It isn't Raw After WrestleMania without shocking debuts – and the 2024 edition should be no different!

Although the Royal Rumble has been home to countless debuts over the years, Raw After WrestleMania is no slouch in that department, either. Newly signed WWE Superstars from the independent scene usually choose Raw After WrestleMania to make their debut since the WWE Universe is so deliriously enthusiastic about everything they're witnessing they make any debut seem massively successful! NXT Superstars looking to jump to the main roster also historically take place at Raw After WrestleMania, so don't be surprised if some of your favorite up-and-coming wrestlers make the permanent move to Monday nights.

Rumors have been flying over which NXT Superstars will make their triumphant main roster debuts – the truth is, countless NXT roster athletes are "Monday Night Raw-ready." During Raw After WrestleMania, we'll see what the next generation of Raw Superstars looks like.

That's the beauty of Raw After WrestleMania – the WWE Universe isn't allowed one moment's peace. Things move at breakneck speed, with twists, turns, and surprises constantly accompanying WWE's trademark in-ring action. It's one of those shows where you'll not want to leave your couch (or seat in the arena) for a bathroom break for Raw's three-hour entirety!

Expect Fallout From WrestleMania

Arguably, the best part of Raw After WrestleMania is witnessing the fallout of WrestleMania itself.

While some storylines will undoubtedly draw to a close on April 6 and 7, there will be others that are too red-hot to end on The Grandest Stage of Them All. No matter what happens in the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, does anyone think the Bloodline story will be complete? Does anyone believe The Rock won't continue to attempt to destroy everything Cody Rhodes stands for? Will Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre simply move on from their bitter rivalry, which is getting more and more personal by the moment?

There's no way the Superstars involved in WrestleMania's main event scene will magically let bygones be bygones come Monday Night Raw. In our eyes, fans should consider Raw After WrestleMania as WrestleMania Night Three!

WrestleMania 40 has many moving parts and is shaping up to be the most significant event in WWE history. But as every savvy WWE fan knows, two nights is not enough to hold all the drama and nonstop action. The WrestleMania spirit will spill over into Raw After WrestleMania, ensuring that the April 8 event will go down as possibly the most unpredictable episode of Raw ever.

Remember: the WrestleMania rollercoaster doesn't stop until WWE leaves Philadelphia. Don't miss Raw After WrestleMania!

You can tune in to Peacock to watch WrestleMania on April 6 and 7. In the meantime, catch up on all things WWE Universe on Peacock.
