The premiere of USA Network's survival competition series, "Race to Survive: Alaska," is just a few weeks away on Monday, April 3 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. However, it's never too early to get to know the contestants. The series features eight teams of two, comprised of a diverse array of expert survivalists specializing in everything from rock climbing to extreme adventuring. While the $500,000 prize awarded to the team who can come out on top of 40 days and six endurance challenges is nothing to sniff at, it's kind of just icing on the cake to these incredible contestants with long resumes of physical and professional achievements who would do this kind of daring trial anyway.
