An Action-Packed Lineup Of Matches Promises Fireworks On This Week’s NXT 2.0

An explosive eight-man tag team match headlines what is sure to be an eventful Tuesday evening in NXT

It’s officially Tuesday, and we all know what that means: another great night of the only show on USA Network that focuses on the next generation of WWE Superstars: NXT 2.0.

With a handful of big-time matches already announced, the WWE Universe is in for a special treat this evening, highlighted by a huge eight-man tag team match, pitting the Diamond Mine against Tony D’Angelo’s “family.”

After the Creed Brothers were attacked by Tony D’Angelo’s henchmen, it immediately became apparent that there’s only room for one “family” in NXT – and there’s only one way to settle this score.

Roderick Strong, Damon Kemp and the Creed Brothers will square off against “The Don of NXT” Tony D’Angelo, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro and the man simply known as “Stacks” in what will undoubtedly be a non-stop action affair.

Such huge multi-man tag matches are relatively rare on NXT television, so suffice to say the WWE Universe is in for a treat with this matchup.

Also this week, Xyon Quinn will finally get what he wants: a one-on-one opportunity against none other than Apollo Crews.

Ever since Crews arrived back in NXT, a few members of the roster have – how should we say this – actively voiced their displeasure about his return. Quinn has been one of those Superstars. This all came to a head when Quinn delivered a stiff ringside forearm to Crews’ face during Crews’ match against Giovanni Vinci – a forearm that ultimately led to Crews being pinned in the middle of the ring.

Apollo Crews has come back to NXT to show not that he’s “still got it" but rather, to show that he never lost it.

Xyon Quinn has taken a stance against NXT alumni coming back “home” to return to their former glory. After all, Quinn considers himself the future of NXT – and the road to the NXT Championship runs through him. It’ll be interesting to piece together the carnage that these two Superstars leave in their wake after what will surely be a classic battle! Will another contender emerge to Bron Breakker’s NXT Championship?

But that’s not all to look forward to tonight on NXT 2.0.

Will Bron Breakker cross paths with looks to be his next major challenger in JD McDonagh? Last week’s interaction between these two Superstars focused on McDonagh going into eerie, scientific detail about how he’s going to mangle the NXT Champion’s shoulder which served only to enrage Bron Breakker even further. Will the mind games continue? Or will words turn into actions?

The increasingly blurry NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship situation will hopefully become a little more clear. After her despicable actions last week that saw Cora Jade drop her half of the tag team titles in the trash, she has officially been stripped of her title – leaving Roxanne Perez as the only officially recognized half of the tag team championship!

Will Perez find a new partner? Will one of the female NXT Superstars step up and lend a helping hand? No matter what happens, we’re thinking that Cora Jade’s involvement in this whole ordeal is not over quite yet – not by a long shot.

In addition, it’s also been announced that Wes Lee will take on Grayson Waller in singles action – ensuring the WWE Universe will enjoy yet another exciting matchup between two of the top stars of NXT.

And finally, we’ll hopefully get more information on exactly when Mandy Rose will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Zoey Stark, who returned to NXT last week and immediately made a huge impact – by winning the 20-Woman Battle Royal to secure her spot as the next contender to the women’s title.

It all goes down on Tuesday night at 8/7c, live on the USA Network!
