'I Love That You're Laughing': The Best 'Miz & Mrs' Moments Backstage At The WWE

"Miz & Mrs" often features the It Couple juggling family life and their life as WWE Superstars. These are some of the best moments in which those worlds collided.

Miz & Mrs” features WWE’s “It Couple” living their daily lives as parents. However, unlike most couples, when they go to work every day, they’re entering the WWE ring as Superstars alongside some of their best friends in the business.

How to Watch

Stream Seasons 1-3 of "Miz & Mrs" on Peacock.

Juggling work and family is difficult for everyone, but Mike and Maryse Mizanin are experts, sometimes thanks to the help of their Superstar buddies. Over the years, some of the funniest and sweetest moments on “Miz & Mrs” have taken place backstage at the WWE and featured some of the fiercest competitors being downright goofy with the It Couple.

For WWE fans as well as “Miz & Mrs” fans, below is a rundown of just some of the most memorable backstage moments that have taken place on the reality series over the first two seasons to help prepare for even more coming in Season 3.

The Miz Learns Portrait Mode

In Season 2 of “Miz & Mrs,” Mike learns a valuable tech secret that allows him to be the best photographer for his wife’s social media possible. While hanging out backstage with fellow Superstars Mike and Maria Kanellis, they show him the magic of an iPhone’s portrait mode

He was telling them all about how he and Maryse spent their day off at a Renaissance Fair, and while looking at the photos, he realizes it may have been more his thing than Maryse’s. While he’s noticing that he owes his wife a date, Maria notices that his photography skills could use some work. She takes his phone and shows him how to use the portrait setting that makes photos with human subjects in them look all-around better.

Floored by the increase in quality, Mike plans a better date with Maryse that involves a helicopter and a photoshoot in which he blows her away with how well he’s able to take her photo with a little help from technology.

The Miz Learns Of Marjo’s Instagram

Sometimes it takes getting away from the house for Mike to see what’s really going on right under his own roof. While waiting for his time backstage with his good friend, Dolph Ziggler, Mike learns that his buddy has become a big fan of his mother-in-law’s Instagram account

Mike wasn’t aware that Marjo had her own social media account, let alone that she was sharing steamy swimsuit photos or doing a pretty accurate impression of him. Dolph gleefully shows Mike a video of Marjo dressed in one of The Miz’s ostentatious outfits and calling herself “awesome!”

Although he doesn’t want Dolph to encourage Marjo’s social media behavior, Dolph admits he’s already liked most of the content on there and pretty much states that he plans to continue being a fan of it. There’s nothing quite like seeing your mother-in-law’s Instagram to get in your head before a WWE match.

Maryse’s Braxton Hicks Contractions

The series opens with Maryse pregnant with her and Mike’s first child, Monroe Sky. Some may not know that there is a thing that happens to women during pregnancy called Braxton Hicks contractions.

According to The Mayo Clinic, they’re relatively painless but very uncomfortable contractions in the abdomen that are the body’s way of preparing itself for the big day. Sometimes they’re referred to as “false labor” because they get stronger and more frequent as one’s due date approaches. It’s even easier to mistake them for the real deal when you’re given bad info while backstage before a WWE event.

Mike is dressed in his outfit and ready to head to the ring when he hears that Maryse has gone into labor near the catering tables. He runs there with another Superstar friend of his expecting to see a crowd surrounding his wife as she gives birth. Instead, he finds Maryse perfectly OK and munching on a cookie. It turns out she was not only fine but the contractions didn’t even seem to phase her (she is a tough-as-nails WWE Superstar, after all).

While The Miz catches his breath, she can’t help but find the whole thing funny.

“I love that you’re laughing,” he says.

“Well, it was a good cookie.”

Monroe’s WWE Career Begins

Maryse hangs out backstage with Monroe while Mike squares off in the ring against Ricochet. When the match is done, he meets them and gets a grimace from Monroe since he’s all sweaty and covered in tanner.

“Is daddy disgusting?” he jokes as she bats away his hands from her.

That’s when NXT Backstage announcer Cathy Kelley comes over and shows that she was letting Monroe play with her microphone while her dad was competing. She says she tried to get her to say his catchphrase, “awesome,” but that it didn’t quite take.

Still, she’s learning, which is good. Her mom recently told USA Insider that she wouldn’t stand in the way of her kids becoming WWE Superstars and everyone has to start somewhere.

The Miz and John Morrison Get Roasted

When Mike and his Superstar buddy John Morrison come back to the WWE together, they pass by fellow Superstars Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods who are the first to welcome them back. However, their respect is short-lived.

The duo quickly begins to riff on Mike and John by comparing them to famous family-like buddies throughout pop culture such as Bert and Ernie, Tom and Jerry, and Hansel and Gretel. Just when they think they’ve escaped, Kofi and Xavier call them and rattle off a few more while Mike and John are driving away. They even enlist Bayley and Sasha Banks to hit them with a reference to “The Simpsons” characters Itchy and Scratchy. Fortunately, they take the jabs in stride and assume everyone is just jealous to see such a dynamic tag-team pairing back in the action.

There’s surely more behind-the-scenes WWE antics ahead in the remainder of “Miz & Mrs” Season 3 that fans can look forward to every Monday night at 11 p.m. ET on USA Network
