The current SmackDown Women’s Champion, Liv Morgan, teased a drastic change in her appearance with a Tweet on Sunday featuring herself with dark hair. Morgan has changed her look multiple times since her debut in NXT and role in the Riott Squad, but this would be without a doubt her biggest change yet.

Morgan is known for her underdog mentality and her blonde hair, so changing to near-black hair would be a big move, especially as a current Women’s Champion. Most fans voiced their approval of the change in the replies of the tweet with fans sarcastically saying “THAT'S ILLEGAL” and encouraging her with “DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!”

Shortly after the tweet gathered attention, Morgan would add in the reply section, “Stay Tuned.” This additional reply only added fuel to the fire with fans sure this was confirmation of the change.

Morgan is currently in the midst of a rivalry with both Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey. The two former mixed martial artists are looking to take the title off of Morgan, and many fans think this could be WWE’s way of giving her an edgier look. Both Rousey and Baszler have questioned the credibility and legitimacy of Morgan’s title run, so this could also be a way for Morgan to channel something darker inside herself that we haven’t seen before.

Last week on SmackDown, Morgan and Baszler signed a contract to finalize their title match at Clash at the Castle. After the signing, the two women brawled in the middle of the ring. Although Baszler was on the attack most of the beat down, Morgan was able to put her through a table at the last second to avoid disaster.

Only time will tell if Morgan emerges as a brunette, but it’s safe to say most fans would embrace the change wholeheartedly if she did.
