Life In The Fast Lane” stars Austin Dillon and Paul Swan revealed the best pieces of advice they’ve ever received while answering a slew of rapid-fire questions about themselves to hype people up for the show.

How to Watch

Stream all of "Austin Dillon's Life in the Fast Lane" Season 1 on Peacock.

To promote their new USA Network reality series, the NASCAR team members and best friends sat down to answer a series of unique questions designed to give some insight into their personalities. Their answers included some surprising revelations such as Paul declaring himself a good baker and Austin revealing he's a fan of a good day at the spa. They also said which super powers they’d love to have — Austin wants flight and Paul, of course, wants super-strength — but they both agreed that their super suits would not include any capes.

One of the questions asked the duo to recite the best piece of advice they’ve ever heard that’s helped them in times where they’re struggling. Paul, a top-notch athlete, kept things short and sweet.

“Hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard,” he declared.

Austin followed that up with a bit of advice in the NASCAR vernacular

“When in doubt, stay in the gas,” he said.

The racer added: “I have followed it a couple of times and I don’t know if it really worked out, but I’m still here to talk about it.”

“It’s gotten me where I’ve gotten today,” Paul added.

The duo also got the opportunity to reveal what advice they would share with their teenage selves if they were somehow given the opportunity. Austin, who is notoriously proud of the hard work and perseverance he put in to get where he is today, simply said he’d tell his younger self to keep doing what he’s doing.

Paul, on the other hand, immediately went to fashion.

“I’d probably tell my younger self to wear shorter shorts and less baggy stuff,” he said quickly, almost as if he’d thought of this before.

“Mind-blowing,” Austin responded sarcastically.

“Austin Dillon’s Life In The Fast Lane” airs Thursdays at 9:30/8:30c on USA Network.
