Chucky” Season 2 is already hacking and slashing its way through the competition with the premiere episode raking in a huge amount of fans checking back in to see what havoc the killer doll will wreak next.

How to Watch

Watch Chucky on the USA app and Peacock.

In a TV and film landscape that’s riddled with spooky villains and creepy dolls, the Oct. 5 return of “Chucky” on USA Network and SYFY raked in an impressive 675,000 total viewers, 385,000 of which were in the coveted adults aged 18-49 category. The data marks a massive 15 percent and three percent increase, respectively, compared to the show’s series premiere just one year ago. The triumphant return of Charles Lee Ray to his hometown of Hackensack, New Jersey, clearly turned a lot of heads in Season 1 and made people want to tune back into his murderous antics once again.

In addition to fans of the “Child’s Play” franchise, these numbers are likely welcome news to series creator Don Mancini, who recently told the crowd at New York Comic Con that he’s hoping to expand the world of “Chucky” with spinoffs, other movies, and even a stage musical. However, he made it clear the biggest determining factor in whether he gets to do that or not will be the audience’s appetite for it.

The Season 2 premiere got fans up to speed with what’s been happening to the town since Chucky went on his murder spree in the first season. Now, his three teen nemeses, Lexy (Alyvia Alyn), Jake (Zackary Arthur), and Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson), have been shipped off to a Catholic reform school where not even a terrifyingly rigid adherence to the Good Book will save them from whatever horrific plot Chucky has cooked up for them next.

New episodes of “Chucky” air Wednesdays at 9/8c on USA Network and SYFY. Meanwhile, you can catch up on past episodes on Peacock right now.
