After two thrilling seasons of USA Network’s acclaimed “why-dunnit” The Sinner, audiences are clamoring for more. Fans should check out (and fall in love with) Bravo’s crime series Dirty John – premiering Nov. 25th!
Dirty John stars Connie Britton as Debra Newell, a successful businesswoman who struggles on the dating scene. But her contained life spirals out of control soon after meeting Dr. John Meehan (Eric Bana) – and leads to bloody consequences.
Here are five reasons why The Sinner fans will love Dirty John:
1. A-List Talent.
Jessica Biel delivered a knockout performance as disturbed mother-turned-murderer Cora Tannetti in the first season of The Sinner, matched by movie star Bill Pullman as dogged detective Harry Ambrose. (Not for nothing: Biel was nominated both a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her work!) The Sinner season two showcased Emmy-nominated actress Carrie Coon's (Fargo) considerable acting chops as cult member Vera Walker.
Dirty John also delivers big names. Connie Britton has been nominated for four Best Actress Emmys in three different roles: Twice for Friday Night Lights, once for Nashville and once in American Horror Story. Meanwhile, movie star Eric Bana has played roles ranging from an Israeli assassin in Munich, to Henry VIII in The Other Boleyn Girl -- and was even the main superhero in 2003's Hulk!
2. Limited Series
Don't have a ton of time to invest in a new series? No problem! Both The Sinner and Dirty John are self-contained limited series, meaning you don’t need to watch beyond the season finale to get the full story. That gives you plenty of time to investigate other murders (or watch other TV shows)!
3. Based on Existing Stories
The first season of The Sinner was based on a bestselling book by German author Petra Hammesfahr. Dirty John was based off a popular true crime podcast by L.A. Times reporter Christopher Goffard.
4. The Suspense is Killing Me!
What made Cora Tannetti snap? Who exactly did Julian kill, and why did he do it? And what is John Meehan actually up to? In each series, one big mystery (sometimes literally) bleeds into another ... and the twists and turns will have you gasping for breath!
5. Crazy Endings
Just when you thought you knew what was going on, each show hits you with another surprise at the end of an episode -- and you have an entire week to guess what will happen next!
Though Dirty John premieres on Bravo Nov. 25 at 10/9c, you can stream the first episode on the network's website right now!
