Derek Luke will play the role of Marcus Moore, an accomplished professional with a loving wife and a beautiful house whose seemingly perfect life is shattered when an assassin breaks into his house on Purge night.

Luke has starred in over 19 films, including Pete Berg’s “Friday Night Lights,” as well as “Biker Boys” opposite Laurence Fishburne. More recently, Luke has appeared in “Captain America,” “Sparkle,” “Baggage Claim” and action thriller “Self/Less.” Additional film credits include “Catch a Fire,” “Pieces of April,” “Alex of Venice,” “Spartan,” “Glory Road,” “Lions for Lambs,” “Definitely, Maybe,” “Notorious,” “Madea Goes to Jail,” “Seeking a Friend at the End of the World” and “Miracle at St. Anna,” for which he was again a Best Actor nominee at the Black Reel Awards as well as an Image Award nominee.

Television credits include “Trauma” and guest arcs on “Hawthorne,” “The Americans,” “God Friended Me” and “Empire.” He headlined season 3 of the series, “Rogue,” the remake of award-winning television miniseries, “ROOTS,” directed by Phillip Noyce and “13 Reasons Why.”
