Phil was pursuing a career as an orchestra conductor when his son was born with a learning disorder. He opted to teach at a local high school because of its stability and such a job would allow him more time to spend with his family. But after his wife Megan nominates him, Kurt surprises Phil at work with a chance to go to Los Angeles and train for a job opportunity with The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. Phil spends a grueling two weeks with distinguished conductor Larry Livingston, and gets his chance to conduct a full orchestra in front of executives from the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. Will he get the job, and if he does, will he and his family make the sacrifice for Phil to pursue his dream?
