Rapper Wale's big break came in 2006 when his single "Dig Dug (Shake It)" became a hit in his native Washington, D.C. A year later, he teamed up with producer Mark Ronson and released several mixtapes. After signing with Interscope Records in 2008, Wale released his debut album, Attention Deficit, in 2009. His third album, The Gifted, was released in 2013 and hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, as did 2015's The Album About Nothing. Wale's fifth album, Shine, will be released later this year and features the single "My PYT."
