Stevie Wonder signed with Berry Gordy's Motown at age 12 and released the No. 1 hit single "Fingertips (Part 2)" soon after. He released seven top 10 singles as a teenager and by age 20, was self-sufficient in the studio, serving as his own producer and arranger, singing and playing all of the instruments for hits like "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours." In 1971, at age 21, he renegotiated his contract with Motown to receive total artistic control. Between 1972 and 1976, Wonder released four albums (Talking Book, Innervisions, Fulfillingness' First Finale and Songs in the Key of Life) and won 15 Grammy Awards. He has won 22 over the course of his career, as well as an Oscar in 1985 for Best Song for "I Just Called to Say I Love You." In 1989, Wonder was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
