Robbie Robertson is a guitarist, songwriter and film composer best known as a member of The Band, for which he wrote the songs "The Weight," "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" and "Up on Cripple Creek." Robertson also played with Bob Dylan as a member of Bob Dylan and The Hawks. He frequently collaborates with Martin Scorsese, consulting on the scores to films such as Raging Bull, The Departed, Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street and The Irishman. Based on Robertson’s memoir, the September 2019 documentary film Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band was executive-produced by Scorsese. Robertson also released his sixth solo album, Sinematic, in September 2019.
